Is there no justice? TNT has cancelled the Cold Justice TV show. Star and former crime scene investigator, Yolanda McClary, has confirmed the cancellation via her verified Facebook account. Cold Justice no longer shows up on TNT’s show list. It is also not listed under TNT properties on Tuner’s press website.
An unscripted procedural drama from Dick Wolf, Wolf Films, and Magical Elves Productions, Cold Justice featured McClary and former prosecutor Kelly Siegler, investigating unsolved murder cases.
Last July, Deadline reported TNT, Wolf Films, Magical Elves, Siegler, McClary, and Alan Brown were sued by an acquitted murder suspect featured on Cold Justice, for civil rights violations, negligence, and intentional torts. There is no word on why the show was cancelled.
In April a fan posted to McClary’s Facebook page, asking if Cold Justice was returning. McClary replied, “I’m afraid not. But, we had a good run and I’m so thankful for all the fans that I look at as friends in my life now. I feel blessed by you all.”
A week and a half later, another fan posed the same question (and asked after McClary’s dogs). McClary said, “The show was cancelled by TNT. The production company is trying to find a new network. My dogs are doing great! Sammy is 7 months old already and as big as a mini horse. Lol.”
In the comments of one of McClary’s posts, another fan asked when Cold Justice would be back. On May 2nd, McClary replied, “I’m sorry. I don’t have any answers on that. If it gets picked up and when they have a shoot schedule, I’m sure a post will go out. 👍”
The official Cold Justice show page on Facebook has not been updated since January 26, 2016.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the Cold Justice TV series? Was TNT right to cancel Cold Justice, or should it have been renewed for a fourth season?
Cold Justice is one of the few, Reality or otherwise, TV shows I looked forward to seeing. I think they did a great service to towns who might not have the man power or resources to keep investigating a cold case.
I loved Cold Justice and looked forward to every episode with Kelly and Yolanda and the crew. I definitely think it should be renewed with another network.
The chemistry between Kelly and Yolanda was what made the show so popular in S1. I applaud Yolanda for having her priorities straight in deciding to put family first, but I think TNT and the crew could have made a bit more effort to revise the team and keep the show going. I’ll definitely miss this show and hope some day it’ll be resurrected.
We love Cold Justice and were looking forward to its return. Yes, it should have a fourth season plus more! Hope another network will pick it up.
Absolutely should be renewed.
I absolutely am disappointed in TNT. I would think that after all sorts of negative publicity from actors on other shows TNT would be able to defend this show. MISS THIS SHOW and have boycotted TNT.
Watching this great show every night on Really in UK. Unbelievable that it’s cancelled in the Stares , is there no justice !
I LOVE this show. It is great to see smart powerful women doing important work. Also, reassuring that the police investigating crimes are so competent and thorough. I want my COLD JUSTICE back again!
I keep waiting for a network with some gumption to pick up this great show. It was such a joy–a relief–to see a quality show featuring WOMEN for a change. And these two women were extraordinarily skillful and compassionate. I wonder if it’s sexism or the recent lawsuit against the show. It sure can’t be lack of quality or lack of viewership.
One of the most interesting and informative shows to ever air! What these women could do, in a weeks’ time, in most cases, is nothing short of amazing! Kelly’s sincere compassion for each family, and the diligence from both Kelly & Yolanda, on each case, gave the viewers just as much hope as the families they were trying to solve for. Praying that another network will realize the value of this show & put it in their lineup, sooner than later! In the meantime, many prayers sent to the families & law enforcement who continue to pursue cold cases; may… Read more »
I seriously hate hearing Cold Justice was cancelled. Yolanda and Kelly brought such great information to the world on how a investigation on a cold case file works. I for one really loved the ladies, and all their friends involved in the cases.
I am so sad for the cancellation of this program.
I was a huge fan of cold justice a great show and it was the greatest thing for victims of cold cases to get sum closure ihope they continue there great work
I enjoyed seeing how real investigations are handled especially many years after the crime. I hope we get to see more shows.
