TV show description:
Jules Cobb (Courteney Cox) is a 40-year-old recently divorced mother who gets back into the dating scene, despite the fact that it’s now filled with mostly younger men. She and her teenage son live in the fictional town of Gulf Haven, Florida.
Jules’ ex-husband is Bobby Cobb (Brian Van Holt), a former semi-pro golfer and currently a “landscape artist.” He rides around in a golf cart and knows what a good time is. Their son is 17-year-old Travis (Dan Byrd). He’s got a sarcastic wit and loves both of his parents, but is constantly embarrassed by both of them. He’s not really fond of the men who find his mom attractive, nor the peers who find his mom attractive.
Jules owns a real estate business and employs her younger best friend, Laurie (Busy Philipps). She’s showing Jules the ropes of the single life and certainly lacks tact. Jules’ other best friend is Ellie Torres (Christa Miller), her next-door neighbor.
Ellie is married to Andy (Ian Gomez) and they have a baby, Stan. Ellie feels dragged down by her boring married life and is jealous of the single time that Laurie and Jules spend together.
Grayson Ellis (Josh Hopkins) lives across the street and is recently divorced as well. He owns a restaurant bar where Jules and Laurie often go out drinking and she wants to become “paper buddies” with him, as they see each other every morning picking up their newspapers. Grayson doesn’t seem to have as many problems with being older and single, but that could be because most of his dates are half his age.
Episode #102 — Mary Jane’s Last Dance
Opening sequence subtitle: “Thank you for watching [Sunshine State] Finally got the new title!!”
Grayson tries in vain to keep Jules from running her birthday. Meanwhile, the gang reflects on all of the changes in their lives.
First aired: March 31, 2015.

I love this show! I especially love the random phrases!
*”Gay trap!!!!”

I love cougar town, its great to see Courtney Cox back in action and its really funny. Hope it doesn’t get cancelled and keeps going for at least 3 seasons.
Same old, same old. The only reason this survived was because of the cushy time slot.
Everyone I know calls it ‘SLUTVILLE’ and switches it off between “The Middle” and “Modern Family”.
Cox and her hubby have produced lots of ****** programs so this is no surprise. Neither is the old and overdone bedroom jokes.
Hope they cancel it and put something original in it’s place.
I really enjoyed this show. has anyone heard if this one is cancelled?
@Elaine: It’s not.
I love this show! Josh Hopkins so well cast I love him and this role really works for Courteney its a really good fit for her. I look forward to watching this each week and hope it stays on air for a long time to come.
Well done Courteney!
…Ugghhh! Well, you get it.
Opps! That first sentence should have read Josh Hopkins : Cougar Town is hysterical. I’m still pissed that Cortney Cox’s Dirt on FX was canceled, it was really good.

“Hey Paper Buddy!” (Josh Hopkins)
