This will be the first full season of Dallas without Larry Hagman’s JR Ewing. Can the cast and producers continue to draw viewers and solid ratings without their quintessential bad guy? Will the new Dallas be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned to find out.
Airing on Monday nights, Dallas continues to follow the machinations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
Final season averages: 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.92 million total viewers.

Reference point: The second season of the new Dallas averaged a 0.8 demo rating and 2.67 million viewers.
Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.
What do you think? Do you still like the Dallas series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
Update: TNT has cancelled Dallas after three seasons. Details here.
It makes no sense at all to cancel a great show such as Dallas. The viewers are really being played here.
I believe the producers could jump start Dallas to begin production again. It would be nice if they got that call. We would all benefit. If only they would.
The new actors could have saved Dallas. It was done very well and much like the original series. It was classic good stuff. I cannot fathom why they cancelled this show. It was so good.
Someday the networks will realize their mistake for cancelling Dallas. But apparently, it’ll be too late. This great show was brilliant. It had it all. I wish it would return.
The cast and crew of Dallas should be proud of what they did for for only 3 seasons. They should be on TV and working the Dallas set right now. The show they produced was superb. Exceeding all other shows.
I have yet to see anything on TV done as well as the Dallas series was. Dallas was a real jewel. Probably the last of it’s kind. It’s sad that we don’t have Dallas to watch any more. Dallas was the best show on TV. I wish it could return.
The stories on Dallas were so good. The characters were great. The acting, the production and everything was really 1st class. There’s a reason why it lasted so long. If the actors and production is willing, why not have it on TV again? It was a real treat to watch.
Josh Henderson was really good as JR’s son. I really liked the trade off of methods for getting things done. Under handed vs over handed. Devious vs Goody 2shoes. Dallas is famous for that. This is just one of the reasons Dallas deserves to be back on. It really should be back on TV.
I wish TV would come to it’s senses. People love Dallas. They always have. It is dearly missed. Especially when you look at what is playing now. There is a huge difference in quality here. Dallas should be returned to TV so we could have something good to watch again.
We don’t even get a rerun of Dallas. It’s so sad that Dallas hasn’t returned. The actors will slowly retire away. They were so great too. This show was too good to cancel.
Yes, even JR would not approve of the TV line up of shows to watch these days. Pretty bad. pretty bad. Bring back Dallas.
I still think Dallas was better than the stuff that’s on TV now. A lot better. The trouble is, is the advertisers and execs don’t have any bxxxs. JR would not approve.
Not much to watch on TV. All these channels and nothing there any good. Ever think that? I do all the time. Seems like if Dallas was on to watch, it’d be a good thing. But TNT took that away.
Bring back Dallas, Bring back Dallas, Bring back Dallas.
Even reruns of Seinfeld is better than the stuff they put on TV now. You’d think they could do better than that. I have a great idea…bring back Dallas.
