This will be the first full season of Dallas without Larry Hagman’s JR Ewing. Can the cast and producers continue to draw viewers and solid ratings without their quintessential bad guy? Will the new Dallas be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned to find out.
Airing on Monday nights, Dallas continues to follow the machinations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
Final season averages: 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.92 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Reference point: The second season of the new Dallas averaged a 0.8 demo rating and 2.67 million viewers.
Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.
What do you think? Do you still like the Dallas series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
Update: TNT has cancelled Dallas after three seasons. Details here.
Monday’s show saw a >5% ratings boost with 100,000 more viewers!! I think the show is actually improving and hopefully will draw even more viewers!
One thing though – for the love of GOD: Monday night slots SUCK! Move it to either Thursday or Friday night.
OK It is not the old Dallas it is called “Dallas – The New Generation” for a reason and to me with or without Larry Hagman it should go on …. actually to be real I had a hard time to see Larry in the new Dallas … I like him but that was so many years ago and with his health declining it was not the same …. however I still sing the tune with him in it as he is and will always be part of Dallas whether he plays in it or not …. and that’s my… Read more »
Just don’t wait more than seven days to watch it or it won’t count.
I absolutely love Dallas. Please come on season 4!!!
If you have not yet, email TNT and let them know you want a 4th season.

Love the show. Have been waiting for the next season
This is one of 3 shows I watch regularly but Dallas I have never missed. I look so forward to Monday’s now.
Love this show, and look forward to each Monday. I hope they are planning to renew. The writing and story lines are great!
What a great episode it was yesterday evening. It was if the old dallas was back. This should be renewed for a 4th season to come.
Indeed. And actually, the show is improving. I was a tad disappointed with the 1st half of Season 3 as there seemed to be a lack of semblance and too many scatterbrained storylines. NOW, it is high octane and they have done a fantastic job of melding the new drama with the show’s history. Every “surprise” now is appropriate and elevates the storyline. Patrick Duffy made a shocking U-turn, but I think it allows Bobby’s character to grow. Linda Gray just shines and plays Sue Ellen with heartbreaking conviction. Josh Henderson is perfectly wicked and devilish as John Ross, a… Read more »
I really hope it gets renewed for Season 4.
The writing has been just excellent and the show definitely is a worthy successor to
the original. I do feel though they should weave a few more of the old guard cast into
the show, since the new characters have been well-established.
Thanks
Love this show I think it is about the only show I watch on a regular basis.
Love, love, love this show!!! Must come back for a 4th season. Best cast, writers and directors. Each episode just gets better and better. I wait every monday night for it. Haven’t missed an episode since it started. FANTASTIC!!!!

I 100% agree with Rob Carrol. It’s a great show and should definitely continue. However, I believe TNT should move “Dallas” to Friday nights.
I say the same thing. Monday nights is not a good day.
