Deadwood fans have been waiting for a reunion movie, and there is a new update on that planned project. It is still being developed. That is the good news.
However, there has not been much movement on the planned film. Casey Bloys, HBO’s top executive in charge of programming, spoke about the cancelled HBO series at the TCA’s recently. He said the following, per TV Line:
“I haven’t read [series creator David Milch]’s script yet. I know he’s working on it. But I have not seen anything yet. I don’t want to get your hopes up or disappoint you in any way, so I’ll just say I don’t have any news. Which I truly don’t.”

Amazing series. I have never been a western fan. But Deadwood changed me. Turning this sweet southern bell. Into a girl who now says ********** and it makes me smile. The actors are perfect. The characters are well developed. I found myself standing watch an entire episode without realizing that I stood up the entire time.

Deadwood in my humble opinion was one of the top 3 TV shows of all time. Would be very excited to see a Film.
This makes me really sad. I find it shameful that HBO would just leave fans of one of their bigger shows just up in the air with no hopes of seeing their show closed out properly.
Should I not get too invested in West World because they will do the same thing to it in a couple of years?

We loved the series, and really were upset when cancelled.
The writers needs to Hurry there Asses Up!! Gob forbid if something hapns to ine of the main characters before they DECIDED to get there **** together!! Ys fabs not only got cheated out of the storyline,but GEESHHHH,We Are Still Here With Our True Devotion to the characters of “DEADWOOD”!! Apparently We Loved the Show and Still do!!
