TV show description:
From creator Chris Fedak, the Deception TV show centers on illusionist Cameron Black (Cutmore-Scott). With big shows in Vegas and New York, this magician is rocketing to the top, when scandal derails his show and his drive.
Unbeknownst to the world, Cameron has a twin brother, Jonathan (Cutmore-Scott), who is integral to both his magic and his life. Then one night, Jonathan is framed for murder. Soon, their secret is revealed, and Jonathan is convicted. Cameron is certain another illusionist is behind the crime.
With his career on hold and his mind overwhelmed by guilt and the desire to exonerate his brother, Cameron won’t even work with his team to develop a new act. One day though, while watching the news, he realizes that the FBI has been deceived by an illusionist, and whoever it was stole one of his signature moves. Now, Cameron is using his tradecraft to help the Feds apprehend some of the most elusive criminals in the world and hopes to prove his brother is an innocent man.

There is still loads to work with on this show. Cameron will easily be let out of prison after a quick fingerprint test then Kay and the Deception team set out to catch Johnny and MW. Really surprised they would cancel a show whilst two brothers are so at odds. One innocently, albeit briefly, locked in prison while the other runs away with a multiple murderer to become billionaires. Cancelling the show now sends one clear message, ‘Screw family values, crime does pay!’. Nice ABC, nice.
One of the few shows that has real class. RENEW!
The show should not have been cancelled my kids loved it if you change the time slot I bet you you would get better ratings it was the only show that my teenagers loved that wasn’t that violent they got interested in something else it was cool with all the Illusions they did it made my kids really think on WOW how was this done can we do something like that it made my kids think I’m tired of all the violence on TV this shows worked can we bring it back

My husband and I were extremely disappointed to learn that Deception was cancelled after only one season. It is one of the most entertaining and clever shows and is a complete twist from the everyday “cop or murder or crime” shows. I guess it does not pay to be a little different as those are the shows that hit the chopping block before being given a chance to gain an audience. Instead it will just make room for one more reality show which no one needs to see!

Deception was refreshing and amazing. The characters/actors had great chemistry! now it’s cancelled. So sad the network couldn’t see the value in this awesome show!
