TV show description:
The fifth series in the Degrassi television franchise, the Degrassi: Next Class TV show centers on the students at the Degrassi Community School. A Canadian teen drama, Degrassi: Next Class is set in Toronto, Ontario.
Principal Archibald Simpson (Brogen), aka “Snake,” was once a Degrassi student, himself. Archie has featured in every series in the franchise, except for The Kids of Degrassi Street.
Despite the half-hour format, there are serial elements to the storylines. Episodes and seasonal arcs typically shine a spotlight on the kind of issues adolescents have to grapple with, as they grow into young adults.
Body image, appearance, social media, gender identity, sexuality, sexual activity and consent, race and racism, mental health, and cultural acclimation are among the themes of Degrassi: Next Class.

Netflix made a huge mistake cancelling degrassi. After they were beginning to build characters up for what we hoped was a season 5 the dropped the ball. Season 4 ending was good with the seniors moving on but the new characters who had their build ends. Come on Netflix the only reason i have netflix was for degrassi. I like Frontier and Sabrina but do the right think bring degrassi back.
I think it needs to be renewed for a fifth season.
i have been watching from day one i guess almost 30 years now and still love it.it is more real life then we want or care to admit.keep it going because the show has something to say thanks
RENEW! I’ve been watching since 2005 I always fall in love with all the characters coming in and out. There Is no better show out there that covers situations like degrassi does and there is so much more that can be explored.
I think Degrassi Next Class should definitely be renewed without a doubt. I love this show so much! I has taught me so much and what kind of people to stay away from in high school. I think it is a great show for students in middle school and going into high school.
