What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, the Doubt TV show stars Katherine Heigl as Sadie Ellis; Elliot Gould as Isaiah Roth; Laverne Cox as Cameron Wirth; Dreama Walker as Tiffany Simon; and Kobi Libii as Nick Brady. Sadie is a brilliant attorney who starts to fall for her charismatic client. Pediatric surgeon Billy Brennan (Steven Pasquale) was recently accused of murdering his girlfriend, 24 years ago. Sadie has to hide her growing feelings from everyone, including her close friend and colleague, Albert Cobb (Dulé Hill). Getting involved with her client could put Sadie’s career and happiness at risk — particularly if Billy is found guilty. She must work all the harder to prove reasonable doubt, even while she has some doubts of her own.
Season One Ratings
The first season of Doubt averaged a 0.68 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.67 million viewers. Find out how Doubt stacks up against the other CBS TV shows.
On February 24th 2017, CBS pulled Doubt from the schedule. On May 17th, the cancellation was confirmed. On June 20th, CBS announced it would air the rest of season one on Saturdays. Details here. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
As expected, CBS pulled the Doubt TV show from the schedule, back in February. While they have not officially cancelled it, it’s safe to say that they won’t be making any more episodes. I bow my head out of respect for another fallen series.

CBS really dropped the ball on this series when they cancelled it prematurely. “Doubt” was an excellent TV Series that kept viewers in the edge of their seats trying to keep up with what was going on it was very captivating and exciting. I wish they would reconsider and bring it back. It truly had the potential to become a long running series if it was given half a chance.
Worst decision ever! Give me a break. Such a great cast, and wonderful writing, and intense and timely story and plot lines. CBS wonders why HBO is kicking its ass, well it is short-sighted decisions. BRING BACK “DOUBT”!!! Do it now!

I have been upset that they canceled shows after one season but oh my gosh cancel after two shows is utterly ridiculous. I am this close to cancelling my cable because you either have to watch reality TV shows or reality game shows or shows that heart in moral cussing sex Etc. You have to give the audience a chance to connect with the actors and their roles it took me a couple of times myself then I’m like where’s the show? I can’t believe yet another smart, funny and original program is being overlooked for what? Some enane reality show? CBS get it together and look at who really sponsors your programming, certainly not the 18-26 year old demographic. It’s us baby boomers with the money to purchase the products sponsored. I hope you will reconsider your scheduling of reality tv programming over smart writing, good characters and strong storylines! Maybe Netflix will start picking up some of these fun stories for us non-teenagers with taste.
We Love watching Doubt! I just notified all my friends —but now see its not coming back. There should be a better way for the FANs of a show to vote on the shows future. I get disgusted wth ALL the stupid reality shows, yet the shows I grow to Enjoy the most get cancelled. I enjoy GOOD plots….not this “reality show” mentality…. Please 🙁 I know I’m Not alone!
This is a great show with a great cast and great story lines. Deciding to cancel it after only two episodes did not give it a chance to develop a larger following. Please, no more reality shows. Give us shows like “Doubt” that have high quality narratives and actors.

I love this show! And Elliott Gould is brilliant, as usual. I don’t understand what goes on in the minds of these tv suits. There are so many stupid reality shows on. I don’t watch any of them. Renew this show!!!
I absolutely love this show! The court cases are unique and very interesting. The characters are also unique and likable. The actors and actresses are fantastic in their roles. I really hope they give this show another shot with a season 2!!
I loved this series. I think it could have grown an audience. And I think it would have done very well in re-runs. It was expertly played by all the actors and the story lines were beautifully written. If the writing continued to be this good, I would have been very happy to watch this series for many happy years. I am so sorry to see this series cast aside so prematurely. Some of the shows on tv today I consider to be junk. I hope all those involved with this show realize they deserved better than to be cancelled… Read more »

Please do not cancel this wonderful program. I just Love it. I don’t understand why your cancelling it there are way worse programs that should be cancelled. Please reconsider. Thanks a Fan of the show.
