AMC Networks’ WE tv channel announces it has given the green light to a new dating series, which will premiere in 2016. The first season of Driven to Love, hosted by singer, songwriter, producer, actor, and now chauffeur/wingman, Ray J, will consist of eight one-hour episodes.
In each episode, Ray J will pick up a participant in the Driven to Love SUV, offer dating advice, introduce potential partners, and supervise dates. By episode’s end, the participant will invite one prospect for a romantic getaway, of which, WE tv says, “… in the hopes of building a new relationship.” Continue on for the details.

WE tv GREENLIGHTS AN INNOVATIVE NEW UNSCRIPTED DATING SERIES THAT REDEFINES WHAT IT MEANS TO BE “PICKED UP”
“DRIVEN TO LOVE” HOSTED BY RAY J PULLS INTO NETWORK’S LINE-UP IN EARLY 2016
NEW YORK, NY — November 3, 2015 — There are countless shows to help single daters find or rekindle their ultimate love…but none like this. For the first time ever, a relationship will actually start in the backseat of a car and develop from there. Hosted by Ray J (“Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood,” “For the Love of Ray J”), a singer, songwriter, producer, actor, and now the ultimate pick-up artist, “Driven to Love” (8×60) is a fresh new concept in dating and relationship series where each week one single dater will be taken on the ride of their life.
“Online dating sites and dating apps have become the norm in finding romance,” said Marc Juris, WE tv’s president. “‘Driven to Love’ is a real life interpretation of this popular dating trend with a fun, engaging twist. And Ray J only adds to the excitement of this show. He’s a talented young star who has just a bit of experience in the dating world which makes him the perfect host for this series.”
In each episode of “Driven to Love,” one hopeful single will hop inside our tricked out SUV alongside Ray J, who will serve as their personal driver and wingman and provide insightful dating advice as they cruise around town meeting potential mates. Along the ride, Ray J will present a handful of carefully selected prospects and supervise dates that take place both inside and outside the vehicle. Our single rider can choose to drive by a potential mate, stop to pick them up, or kick someone already in their ride straight to the curb. At the end of the day they’ll choose one match to join them for a romantic weekend getaway in the hopes of building a new relationship.
“Driven to Love” is produced by Lion Television and is based on a format created by Matar Productions and Zig Zag Productions.
