THR reports that Drop Dead Diva will end after the upcoming sixth season. The final 13 episodes will start airing on Sunday, March 23rd. Guests will include Rick Springfield, S. Epatha Merkerson, John Ratzenberger, Corbin Bleu, Colin Egglesfield, Virginia Williams and Jay DeMarcus.
Starring Brooke Elliott, Drop Dead Diva revolves around a self-centered model who dies and then returns to life as an attorney. Others in the cast include Margaret Cho, April Bowlby, Kate Levering, Jackson Hurst, Lex Medlin, and Justin Deeley.
Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the show was canceled when Lifetime and the studio couldn’t come to a deal for season five. A few months later, the series was resurrected with a more cost-effective agreement.
It was later renewed for a sixth season but ratings have been on the decline. The fourth season averaged 2.3 million viewers but season five fell to under two million.
What do you think? Are you sorry that Drop Dead Diva is ending again? Would you like to see it continue or is it time for the show to finish for good?
I don’t like how it is going to end. I wanted Grayson to LOVE Jane and what was the past with Deb. But it Jane whose body and brains Deb is using. Now Grayson in another body??? This is just getting to weird and getting so far off track. I do love the show but REALLY!!!!!
please don’t cancel the show! love it!
PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW! It is wonderful & full of life! Good lessons learned, laughs, cries, happiness, fun, excitement….etc…………………….Why do they always cancel the good shows? We have TOO MUCH reality TV….we need this show to stay on & keep going. It brings us happiness. WE LOVE JANE!
I love drop dead diva I hope they don’t end it
Drop Dead Diva is a fantastic show! My husband & I have been watching it together ever since the beginning. We’re not at all happy that it’s going to be cancelled. There aren’t any shows that even come close to Drop Dead Diva or are anywhere near well written & with a great cast!
I really love the show and I hope the producers can work things out so they can continue. Please I love, love , love drop dead diva.
I live for this show, especially when I’ve been so sick and thought I would have been joining deb/Jane.
this show has given a heart to a once heartless Kim, did anyone else think that was ever going to happen.
There is still life left in this show, don’t cancel, challenge yourselves, if it lost viewers then get them back, they didn’t lose me yet.
A good decent show that teaches life lessons and makes me laugh too! I guess that is just too much like right so here we go cancelling another great show.
Please don’t cancel this show.
I figured they would cancel it for good after their first attempt failed due to viewer support. It is a well written show with good storylines. It has not run out of good storylines and has not “jumped the shark” so it should not end just because it does not fit into Lifetime Network’s new vision of what their programming should be. Transfer it to a different network if necessary, but don’t cancel a good and popular show.
Pleas d not ! , Cancel this Show ! , It is just getting stated. And there is nothing like it on television.
The Shows plot and led fem character are absolutely terrific. Perhaps you could develop a revised ad campaign in which you revise how Dx3 is commercialized and to what audience. DDD is an amazing show.
Please don’t give up on DDD , you cant end something that is just beginning.
Much love and best wishes, DDD lover <3
I love this show!!!! Please keep it on!!!!
