It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

It totally pisses me off that they keep a crappy show like Ugly Betty and cancel a great show with awesome story lines. I have been devoted since day one, I hope another network has more sense than ABC to pick this show up.
I am very disappointed that ABC has made this horrid decision to take this amazing show off the air. Although I do not have time to watch it live, I do DVR it every time it is on. I have not been hooked on a show until this show came out and now that they are pulling the show off the air I know I will not be enjoying another for a long while after.ABC YOUR MAKING A BIG MISTAKE!!
I LOVE EASTWICK AND CANNOT BELIEVE YOU WILL CANCEL IT. AT LEAST SHOW THE LAST 6 SHOWS. I’M TIRED OF GETTING INTERESTED IN A PROGRAM AND ITS PULLED LEAVING EVERONE UP IN THE AIR. ITS NOT FAIR TO THE AUDIENCE WHO FAITHFULLY WATCH YOUR SHOWS. BESIDES GENERAL HOSPITAL I MAY NEVER WATCH ABC AGAIN.

It “failed” because the execs didn’t like it, put it in a so-so time slot and didn’t do much to promote it. It didn’t fail for me or my friends. I think it was too “chicky” for the macho men running ABC. I love some of the shows coming from ABC such as Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives which are also “chicky” but deal with gay themes, making them more hip. I loved this show, it is a real shame they are canceling it, yet keeping some other shows on, really !!! I don’t have to mention them by name.
If you sign onto lifetime network you can vote to keep eastwick alive!!!!!!!!!!! So if you still want to see this show, show them that you want it. Go Vote.

I can not find a link to a petition page in order to ask ABC to keep the show. I would also be glad to sign any petition to a different channel, like CBS to take this wonderful, sexy, witty show in their program. I loved the idea one of you ladies had about showing Eastwick right after the Ghost Whisperer. That would be so much better than the boring Medium…. I have tons of friends and family that watch the show and we are truly pissed off that it has been cancelled. Most of us tape it becasue we get and go to work, so if people are doing that you will not know how popular it really is. I hope you guys can get your heads out of the toilet and get it back on. I can not believe you take something off that entertains you and leave crap on. BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!!
