It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

This was an entertaining show. Once again ABC is canceling an entertaining, non-violent show. Let’s just watch more news shows or how about another reality show?
Eastwick has become my favorite show!!! I look forward to it every week and I have friends that also look forward to it too. I do not know why the show is being cancelled but I can’t get enough of it. I wish it wasn’t being cancelled. Please don’t cancell it. There are so many stupid shows on t.v. that don’t get cancelled but this one that I LOVE and watch with my son they want to cancel.

I love this show. I really don’t understand these ratings the networks keep talking about everyone I know loves the show!! It is fun and different and a wonderful break from those stupid reality shows!! Give the show a chance and air all the episodes!! I agree ABC is cancelling to many shows. If this show goes..so do I!!

this is a good show but it dosen’t matter what the people want its just what there few ratings people say not the normal people if people would stop watching these networks
that starts you on a new show then pulls it when you get into it but to pull it and not finish it is not rite at all
Canceling Eastwick is a big mistake!! I, like many others, LOVE this show. It is great! I look forward to Wednesday night TV because of it! I NEVER tuned in to ABC programming until now, looks like I won’t be any longer. Who in their right mind actually likes Ugly Betty?????? Very immature show!!

I loved this show. Not my typical kind of show, but I really loved it. Now, it seems like we might be getting closer to the premonitions from the beginning, but instead, they are cancelling it??? Did they not advertise enough? I admit, I knew my mother would be a sucker for this kind of show, but she never heard of it. Why cancel Eastwick?
It’s a brilliant show, good story lines, characters – so much better than inane reality shows and soppy situation comedies.
BRING BACK EASTWICK!!! PLEASE.
I don’t like Ugly Betty and will be tuning to another network to watch tv.
Put Eastwick on at 8pm – a much more sensible time.

This was my favorite drama of the new season. I found it to be fresh, energetic, well-scripted and fun to watch. I am disappointed that it will not return. The actresses/actors were supurb. Hopefully, ABC will give it another opportunity for success.
I love this show please don’t cancel it. If you do someone please pick it up. I have never done this before. I never liked a show this much. I will miss it!
