It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I’m absolutely crushed that Eastwick has been canceled. All week I wait for Wednesday evening to arrive so I can see Eastwick. It’s the only TV night in my opinion. This was by far my most favorite show; most evenings I only watch Netflix/TiVo as there isn’t anything good on TV – can’t stand reality TV. Please don’t cancel Eastwick!!!
Hi am so mad if this is true! I LOVE THIS SHOW! Finally, something worth watching on Wednesday! I even got some girlfriends in on it thanks to Direct TV. It would do better at an earlier time slot, I know it! I HATE HATE HATE reality TV and was so glad to see GREAT acting combined with the supernatural plot….thought it was a keeper! Please don’t cancel!!!

I’m really upset as well that this show has been cancelled. Finally something different and interesting. I loved all the characters, too. I did think it was on the wrong night. All the other shows before it were comedies. Ugly Betty will be good in that slot, but they should’ve just moved Eastwick to a different night like Thursday. I will miss it!!!

I agree pretty much with what was already said here. It was a really great family show. Good for people who try to avoid trash and violence. Too bad ABC cares more for their profits than offering a quality program.
I think cancelling Eastwest is just wrong. I love this show, why is that the good ones always get cancelled. why not cancel the stupid reality shows im so tired of them..LEAVE EASTWICK ON..

Last season they did Lipstick Jungle which I LOVED and had the same actress as this show. I am so sad!
There is no need in any of us wasting our time wishing that Eastwick would return. ABC does not care, has never cared and will never care what anyone of us think. To them, it’s all about money. That’s all, nothing else. They just don’t care.
Of course ABC cancels Eastwick. It’s clever, well acted and entertaining. Can’t have that.
I am sooooo sick they are canceling this show!!! I thought it was so good! I was angry when they moved Ugly Betty, but now moving that show again and getting rid of Eastwick is just plain REALLY STUPID!!!!!! I am slowly starting to not like ABC either! You come out with really good shows and get rid of them! I don’t remember what channel Carpoolers was on ( I think ABC), but I was pissed when that was canceled!!! Forget Ugly Betty, ABC won’t get our ratings for that, I’ll turn the channel or just read a book.
OMG…I can’t believe the show has been canceled! It was great and had me at the edge of my seat many times — what a shame. ABC — you’ve done wrong!!!
I am sooooo disappointed. I think this show is AWESOME! I really love the synergy between the actresses. It is intelligent, well scripted and very intertaining! I can’t believe they are abandoning it. What a bad decision.
This is CRAZY!!!!! Eastwick was a good show we good drama and lots of good story lines… every good show that they put on tv that i tune in and watch every time is comes on they just cancel it.. i’m so sad now.. I love ugly betty but STill eastwich should still be apart of the tv.. it’s not over yet… I want to know what happens to Johanna and who that guy is that took her job.. or the kid who apparently isn’t who he seems… ERRRR!!! why????
