It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I really enjoyed this show. It was the only thing on tv that I cared to watch and then they pull it. It was better than any of the teen drama and the crap realit tv. If they don’t bring this show back then I will give up all hope on socity.
I am going to really miss this show, like a lot of people have said. I also looked forward to seeing this every Wednesday! I just had to check and see every Wednesday when it was going to be on, because I never knew from week to week if it was going to be on. Please don’t cancel this show, there are so many others that are worse that have stayed on the air. BRING THE SHOW BACK!!!!!!!!!! Eastwick was never given a chance, and this isnt the first show that abc has removed without chances, and kept the ones that are not that good. I will, and hope others, stop watching any shows on this channel. Eastwick was better than any reality show. Better than The Forgotten , that they kept on air. PLease brang back Eastwick
The reason the ratings dropped is because we never knew when it was going to be on the air from one week to the next! I really looked forward to watching Eastwick every weds nite..

Eastwick was not given a chance by the network. By bumping the show periodically (more than just 2 weeks), it was hard to remain excited about the show. It was not fare to judge a program based on a slow start and no consistency due to the network. There are several shows that were pulled off the air for the holiday season. They are coming back. ABC’s bouncing around with changing time slots for programs and pulling a show that has potential is damaging their reputation. There are certainly other channels to watch.
Please bring Eastwick back.
Please everyone write to ABC letting them know how upset we all are about the cancellation of Eastwick! Maybe they can at least try it on Fridays in the Ugly Betty spot.. It worked for JAY LENO!!!! Our voices can be heard if we speak loud enough!!!
i loved this show,
at first i was a bit sketchy about it but i couldn’t stop watching it. It gave me something to look forward to every Wednesday. I was always sad when some other show was on during the time space. They should bring the show back for another chance. There are a lot worse shows out there that are still running and I think this one deserves a break.
I hope they’ll bring it back! It’s well written and well acted, and not the canned drivel the networks usually shove down our throats. Give it a season to catch on! Then, if it’s suffering in season 2, THEN cancel it! Cheers and Friends weren’t hits right out of the gate either.
