It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

Like a few others on here discovered this show through warner TV service and loved it! Its a really fun, entertaining and well made show. Really gutted to find out its been cancelled, such a shame. I think these big networks base too much on viewings figures within the first few weeks, same as happened with flashforward! Carla, UK.
GRRRRR! I am so annoyed that they’ve cancelled this series! I’ve been watching it on Virgin TV demand and have LOVED it! When I watched the last episode I tried to find out when they were shooting series 2 only to find that they won’t be 🙁
So annoyed! Bloody ABC -wouldn’t recognise a great TV show if it jumped up and bit them on the a*se! My friends and I are gutted!

Found Eastwick on BT Vision here in the UK, gutted that there is no second series. Loved every minute so far up to ep11………………………………………………………………………

the show was not given a chance and the first 3-4 episodes were spend just getting into character, why do these tv companies do this, especially just leaving us on a major cliffhanger, why cant they just do 1 more series at least just to wrap up all the loose ends but personally i feel this show had great potetial (a bit like charmed) and that was very successful, please reconsider and give it a chance. they done exactly the same with one of my other favourite shows and left us in suspence with no conclution and that was invasion,… Read more »
Just found this website to see when the second series was going to be on. Have just watched the first series on warner tv, here in the UK, VERY disappointed to see they have cancelled it like Chris said they don’t cancel second series’s over here
Im so p***off why make tv shows just to cancel them, they make them for us to watch but pull them when rating drop. Dont they know people are now starting to stop watching series because we just get into them then they cancel them, thats why ratings drop! Fools
This show was aired on the uk earlier tthis year but just watched it on the warner tv catch up service. This was a very good show, but as always, rating rule and another very enjoyable series bites the dust.
Rarely happens in the uk after just one series, it takes time to develop characters.
Please rethink and give the show a chance.

I get tired of finding a good show to watch just to have them yank it off of the air. Every time that I finally find something worth watching, they cancel it. What is the problem? Millions of people watching is not enough? All that is on now is these stupid reality show so, I find myself having to watch reruns all of the time. why? this show was good. figures when something is getting good they cancel it. but they can leave all of the stupid shows on though.
