The drama follows eccentric detective Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Doctor Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) as they help solve crimes in modern-day New York. The cast also includes Aidan Quinn and Jon Michael Hill.
Given ratings alone, a renewal for Elementary looks uncertain. Currently, season five is averaging a 0.67 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 4.975 million viewers — low numbers for CBS. However, despite the poor ratings, Deadline reports a season six renewal seems likely.
First, Elementary is completely owned by CBS, making a renewal easier and more profitable for the network. Additionally, the series has lucrative off-network and SVOD deals with WGN America and Hulu Plus that bring in “as much as $3 million total per episode.”

Renewed – only show I really enjoy. I like all the characters & I like watching how they solve the crime. It’s also helped my vocabulary. I’m also a fan of all SHERLOCK HOLMES – movies; books, & movies.

yes I would watch it, low rating is because of the shows terrible time slot I like it better than NCIS LA or New Orleans and definitely more than Scorpion.
A witty cop show for today, with excellent writing, production and performances. Glad it was renewed. I understand how it’s too intelligent for today’s audience but I’m glad they’re giving those of us who get it one more season.

We absolutely will watch season six of Elementary! It’s one of the few shows my husband and I enjoy.
This show has it all. It requires concentration, is clever and intelligent, and warrants repeat viewings to ensure that you have caught all the subtleties. It will be hard to sustain the quality, but I hope that they give it a go.
This show never disappoints. I love the banter, it’s quirky and Jonny Lee Miller.
My favorite show, this show is the only adult intelligent show on TV. Don’t ever cancel!!.
