This TV series gives a new take on the classic Arthur Conan Doyle characters. It’s a modern-day drama about a crime-solving duo that cracks the NYPD’s most impossible cases.
Following his fall from grace in London and a stint in rehab, eccentric detective Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) escapes to Manhattan where his wealthy father forces him to live with his worst nightmare — a sober companion, Doctor Joan Watson (Lucy Liu). She was a successful surgeon until she lost a patient and her license three years ago.
Watson views her current job as another opportunity to help people, as well as paying a penance. However, the restless Sherlock is nothing like her previous clients. He informs her that none of her expertise as an addiction specialist applies to him and he’s devised his own post-rehab regimen — resuming his work as a police consultant in New York City.
Watson finds she has no choice but to accompany her irascible new charge on his jobs. In the end, Sherlock finds her medical background helpful, and Watson realizes she has a knack for playing investigator.
Sherlock’s police contact is Captain Tobias “Toby” Gregson (Aidan Quinn). He knows, from previously working with Scotland Yard, that Sherlock is brilliant at closing cases, and welcomes him as part of the team.

Amidst Holmes and Watson’s battle with tech billionaire Odin Reichenbach, the investigators receive word of their old enemy and Sherlock’s former love, Jamie Moriarty.

i think elementary should be renewed but after all this time i think
watson should have a shower scene lucy liu will do this for the
show she is a profession (actor) and knowns how important
this is for the shows developement

I love this program but think the fifth season lost a little bit of steam. The writers can develop a stronger plot line for season six and keep me hooked on this show another year!
The Fifth Season has been very lack luster Unless the final episodes have a surprise. it needs to go

Please do not cancel Elementary!!! I am happy you are adjusting your ratings to show Live +3 viewers. I have a tendency to binge watch 3-4 episodes at a time though. Love all the characters and plot lines, please keep it around!!!

I “Love” Johnny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu including the other cast members of Elementary… I have my DVR set for all episodes Old and New…. “PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW…. I look forward to my Sunday evenings when it airs.
This is a GREAT show. Have loved it since it began. Johnny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu are a super combo and the stories they solve are always NEW and exciting. DO NOT CANCEL. It beats watching the hard to follow SHERLOCK on Cable. This cast is great for Elementary. Love Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy.

I appreciate the well-thought out cold cases that are solved by slueths that are complex opposites that make it work. It’s captivating in seeing police consulting work being maximized using talent, character, & dedication to the purpose of its partnership in solving cases & reality of who did it & why.sf
Please don’t cancel this show. I bought all of the seasons from Amazon Prime so I can get my fix whenever I need it. Love the relationship between Sherlock and Joan – witty, adult, and intelligent. So VERY rare in TV today.
I love this show. It’s intelligent and has depth. I hope they continue with the larger plots rather than devolve to a typical crime show with a crime that’s resolved every episode. I’ve really enjoyed the variety of topics that the show covers. It will be a sad day for me when it’s cancelled. I look forward to every episode.
