Escaping Polygamy debuts four all-new episodes beginning April 1 at 10 PM ET/PT on Lifetime. Following three sisters, Andrea, Jessica and Shanell, who daringly escaped polygamy in their youth, and newcomer Rachel Jeffs, daughter of notorious Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS) leader and prophet, Warren Jeffs, they band together to help young women escape the tight grips of Warren’s cult.
The sisters’ first-hand knowledge of the struggle to leave polygamy make them the perfect advocates to help others escape, but their missions are often riddled with danger by those faithful to the religion. Those who dare to leave, face challenging emotional obstacles like returning back to the cult they escaped. But with the continued support and guidance of the sisters, those that escape are able to rebuild their lives to create a new sense of family.
Featured in these new episodes include a member attempting to find her long-lost mother that the church tore away from her as a child; a sister desperately wanting freedom and the ability to finally make decisions for herself; and a young woman trapped inside a “house of repentance” following an illicit and forbidden affair between cousins.
Escaping Polygamy is produced by RIVR Media. Executive producers for RIVR Media are Dee Haslam, Rob Lundgren, and Lori Stryer. Shura Davison, Brie Miranda Bryant and Gena McCarthy serves as executive producers for Lifetime.”
What do you think? Have you seen Escaping Polygamy? Will you watch the new episodes?
Please continue the series. I hate how this lifestyle drags women down and I love what these sisters are doing to help them!!!
please continue! There is many more people that have no clue what potential they have, its amazing how the leaders are able to keep so much from them and convince them that’s its ok?! please keep this going!!
These women are amazing. I am a complete fan of show. I can’t believe a lawsuit (probably funded by the Order” is controlling the future of this show.
Much like the Scientologist cult that has billions. Come on people. There are so many men and women that need help.
I PRAY for their FREEDOM.
I love this show, and hope it never goes away. I am extremely impressed with all the ladies that fight for their freedom.
I love to watch this show. I think it is so wonderful that these young ladies have taken on such an awesome responsibility to help others obtain their freedom. I only wish that those who choose to remain in this life could realize that letting someone else control who you marry is not the way to live, that one should be free to marry whomever he/she chooses on his/her own terms. Again these ladies are so courageous for doing what they do.
Omgsh absolutely positively yes!!!! Big kudos to these ladies for exposing such a gross disgusting culture.
I really like the exposure of the sick men who hide behind the shameful religion and the sick leader Warren Jeff’s. Without the show, they were able to get away and abuse young girls 12 and older.
Yes I have watched and I am amazed at what these 3 girls are doing.
I love the show so interesting
yes I love the show , it is great what they are doin
Yes, I’ve seen all episodes, and waiting for new episodes, I think these girls are doing a great job helping members get out of this cult.
Need more. Great show. Who is the secret informer
It’s a secret. That is the point .
I LOVE the program “Escaping Polygamy”! Having lived in Utah I have seen first-hand how the polygamists live and how the women of this cult are treated. How the children are treated in some cases is absolutely abhorrent!!! I looked so forward to watching this program. I could feel everything that the girls were doing to help others, and wished that I was back there so I could help them. I was very excited to hear they were coming back with four more episodes, but very disappointed that there were only four. I would love to see these girls continue… Read more »
Could you tell us what you saw I’m intrigued by the show I want to hear real stories
I truly enjoy this show. I have a question. Once these young people leave, who pays for their housing, monthly bills, etc. It seems as though they move in very apartments or homes, drive nice cars, etc. before they ever land a job.
I know of at least one family who has donated quite a bit of money and goods to help people escaping polygamy. I would bet that this is the same type of situation (donations).
Love the show and am glad these people are raising awareness to this problem.
Love watching this show. Grew up in Utah, just wish I could help these people.
