ABC is still trying to fill that Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot. Many ABC shows have been given that timeslot and they’ve all been cancelled — Killer Women, Body of Proof and Lucky 7, to name just a few. So, how’s the new Forever TV show doing? Will it break the trend or be cancelled as well?
On the Forever TV show, New York City’s star medical examiner is Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd). He can ascertain things that most can not because of his vast experience — he’s been alive for 200 years but can’t figure out how or why. The rest of the cast includes Alana de la Garza, Lorraine Toussaint, Donnie Keshawarz, Joel David Moore, and Judd Hirsch.
The series got off to an okay start, following the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars on a Monday night. It attracted a 1.7 rating with 8.59 million viewers. The following night, in its permanent timeslot, the demo rose slightly but viewership dropped.

In week two, the ratings tumbled to a 1.4 in the demo with 5.69 million. In week three, they fell even lower and last week’s installment hit new lows with a 1.1 demo rating and 4.81 million viewers.
Just four weeks into the season and this show is already in serious trouble. ABC needs a successful show to fill the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot and it’s clear that Forever isn’t the answer to their prayers. It’s unlikely that they’ll order any installments beyond their initial 13 episode order.
Will all of the episodes air? I suspect that ABC will release the six remaining episodes — probably before the holidays. The network may find other programming to air in the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot during at least some of November sweeps however.
Either way, unless there’s a miraculous turnaround in the ratings, Forever is as good as cancelled. It’s yet another TV show about an immortal that will see its life cut short.

This is an absolutely WONDERFUL show. It’s so intriguing on so many levels!! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! Please keep it going. We are all able to watch it meaning the age range is wide and keeps us all watching AND watching together. Very few shows offer that coverage!!! I so hope it stays!! It just needs time!!! Best show this season. I hope it doesn’t get cancelled as I will very sad. Love the cast and story line. Please give it a chance .
It is unrealistic to expect a huge fan base for a new show at 10pm. I absolutely love this show, it keeps you intrigued through the entire episode and always leaves you with questions. It would be a shame to get rid of it and although it is varying from a 1.1 – 1.3, it is still the best abc has done in this time slot for a while. Give it time to build up a fan base then they will surely reap the rewards.
Love this show, I do not understand why abc does not air the shows like CBS on their website right away. CBS gets ad revenue from their websites or from TV if you watch the show. With ABC you can not view the show the next day.
Keep this show, or give it a better spot this might save ABC rating if they would get some common sense to their thinking!!!
This is one of the few shows that keeps your interest throughout the entire episode. The acting is solid and I think 10pm is a bad time to let any new show build up a fan base. Hopefully the streaming ranks helps the show continue on for another season. ABC needs to be realistic and not expect any show to keep 10 million viewers after 10
Please keep the show forever. I think the best new shows out there. The main character is full off knowledge and personally.

I love this show!!! It is my favorite new show of this season. I enjoy the blend of mystery, humor, smart dialogue and very likeable main characters. Please, please, please do not cancel this show.

Me and my dad are so hooked on this show! Everything about it is great! There are so many questions I have that I would like them to answer. I really DONT want this show to get cancled 🙁
I agree this show is quite good. It deserves to run a full season and have a real chance to gather fans. This is some quality and should not be scraped and replaced with some formulaic monstrosity.
I truly love the premise of this show. The story lines and acting are well done. It is nice to actually watch something that isn’t mind numbing. Most nights, though, I am am well in bed by 10pm. So I make to sure to DVR the show and watch first thing the next morning at 5am when I get up. Give it time to gain a following.
I love this show. The character is so interesting, and I like how well the cast clicks. I would be soooooooooo disappointed if the series was cancelled.
