ABC is still trying to fill that Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot. Many ABC shows have been given that timeslot and they’ve all been cancelled — Killer Women, Body of Proof and Lucky 7, to name just a few. So, how’s the new Forever TV show doing? Will it break the trend or be cancelled as well?
On the Forever TV show, New York City’s star medical examiner is Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd). He can ascertain things that most can not because of his vast experience — he’s been alive for 200 years but can’t figure out how or why. The rest of the cast includes Alana de la Garza, Lorraine Toussaint, Donnie Keshawarz, Joel David Moore, and Judd Hirsch.
The series got off to an okay start, following the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars on a Monday night. It attracted a 1.7 rating with 8.59 million viewers. The following night, in its permanent timeslot, the demo rose slightly but viewership dropped.

In week two, the ratings tumbled to a 1.4 in the demo with 5.69 million. In week three, they fell even lower and last week’s installment hit new lows with a 1.1 demo rating and 4.81 million viewers.
Just four weeks into the season and this show is already in serious trouble. ABC needs a successful show to fill the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot and it’s clear that Forever isn’t the answer to their prayers. It’s unlikely that they’ll order any installments beyond their initial 13 episode order.
Will all of the episodes air? I suspect that ABC will release the six remaining episodes — probably before the holidays. The network may find other programming to air in the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot during at least some of November sweeps however.
Either way, unless there’s a miraculous turnaround in the ratings, Forever is as good as cancelled. It’s yet another TV show about an immortal that will see its life cut short.

I agree with everyone and also state that this show is fantastic! I truely hope that it is not cancelled. The characters are interesting and its something I look forward to watching along with a number of family members.
It truely erks me that the good shows are always put up for cancelling when those reality shows keep going and going and going. I prefer something with a little more intellectual stimulation please and this show does fill that need.

Everyone in our home loves it. It is different from anything out there… The idea that we can go home and watch on Xfinity on demand has become an evening plan for the whole family. We all make popcorn, hot dogs sit together to watch the show……

Keep it, keep it, keep it. It doesn’t need to be “dark and sexy.” It’s a police procedural that stands out from the dozens of other police procedurals on several fronts: The lead cop has a complex personal life that’s only been hinted at. The lead doc has a complex personal life that we get to see a little more of… The writing is engaging. The ensemble acting is skilled. The tone tends to be poignant. This is a great show. I watch over 30 shows & it is in the top 10! I dvr everything so that way I can watch tv when my lil 1 is asleep. Please don’t cancel it. Give it a flipping chance! I’m so tired of all the good shows being canceled! Cancel Resurrection, keep Forever!
KEEP IT PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ ! Love this show! I am sick of all the good shows being cancelled. I loved Body of Proof too, and POOF….guess what? GONE………………why,why,why? This show was like a breath of fresh air, what , if it is not a reality show it doesn’t work?

LOVE the story, and i want to know what’s gonna happen next. The actors are wonderful. I would really feel a loss if they canceled it…. it’s the only series i watch.
My husband, two teens, and I watch and love Forever. The premise is different from other shows and the acting is superb. Four to five weeks is not enough time for a show to garner a fan base. We want to know more about Henry’s past and who is calling him. PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL!!! GIVE FOREVER A CHANCE!!
Leave it on 🙂 ! It’s got a different story line and is one of the my must see shows this year. My daughter and girlfriends and I look forward to watching this show each week. In fact, I’ve recorded all the shows and if there is nothing else on it’s my got to recorded show.
