The game is over. Deadline reports NBC has cancelled their new drama Game of Silence during its first season.
The series revolves around five childhood friends who have kept a dark secret for 25 years. The cast includes David Lyons, Michael Raymond-James, Larenz Tate, Bre Blair, Claire van der Boom, Deidrie Henry, Conor O’Farrell, and Demetrius Grosse.
Only six episodes into its run, Game of Silence has received steady-but-low ratings, earning an average of .81 in the 18-49 demo and 3.898 million viewers.
NBC has also cancelled the freshman medical drama Heartbeat and the Eva Longoria comedy Telenovela.

I love Game of Silence from the Pilot I was hooked. I was like WOW..what an opener and it hasn’t disappointed me throughout the whole season. So sad to hear that it’s being cancelled…Boo NBC…not a good move!

Game of silence is an awesome edge of your seat series and should not be canceled. This series needs to continue there is such lousy TV but everyone on this show does an awesome job. Please reconsider and continue game of silence
I agree another season please! NBC listen to the viewers. This is a great show deserves a second chance! Cancel a reality show instead! Games of silence is a winner!
Game of Silence should have been given more time to develop. This is a great cast and the storyline could have survived this first season if given a chance. Cancelling so early just sealed the fate. Most won’t watch since they know NBC gave up on it which is sad because it is a great show!!!

I cannot believe they cancelled this show! What is the sense of starting a series then cancel after first season! From here on in I am not going to watch any new shows on any of the networks! NBC you got it wrong on this one!
I can’t believe game of silence was cancelled. It is such a great show! My husband and I love it. So suspenseful! The hour is over before you know it. Love all the cast too. I hope they change their mind!
This is a very good show, why not give it a try for a 2nd season, didn’t advertise it well at all then expect the ratings to be out the roof, not great planning by NBC. DEFINITELY NEEDS ANOTHER CHANCE! GIVE IT ANOTHER SEASON!
