The game is over. Deadline reports NBC has cancelled their new drama Game of Silence during its first season.
The series revolves around five childhood friends who have kept a dark secret for 25 years. The cast includes David Lyons, Michael Raymond-James, Larenz Tate, Bre Blair, Claire van der Boom, Deidrie Henry, Conor O’Farrell, and Demetrius Grosse.
Only six episodes into its run, Game of Silence has received steady-but-low ratings, earning an average of .81 in the 18-49 demo and 3.898 million viewers.
NBC has also cancelled the freshman medical drama Heartbeat and the Eva Longoria comedy Telenovela.

So very sad to hear Game of Silence is cancelled. It is one of the best shows I have seen in years. I love the suspense, the characters, all the secrets, and the emotions. I recorded all episodes to date, and am through about half of them; I was telling someone how great the show is, and they told me it had been cancelled…I am pretty sure I yelled “Nooooooooo”. Please at least care about us who are watching, and end the series with all the details….don’t leave us hanging!!!
I absolutely love this show!! Why must you cancel this NBC!!??? Y’all didn’t even give the show a chance..but I guess my word counts for nothing anyways

I love Game of Silence. This storyline has the potential for twists and turns that could take us on a ride for years to come. Really hate to see it go. It’s one of my favourites and I look forward to it every week.
Loved “Game of Silence”. It was suspenseful and I couldn’t wait to see each episode. I wish the network would give it another chance. It was as good, if not better, than “The Blacklist”, especially after Elizabeth was killed. I have a hard time understanding why good shows get cancelled.
Just binge-watched the first 7 episodes of this show. Very sad to hear it’s been cancelled. I hope NBC reconsider.

Some further thoughts. What major book publisher with any pride or concern for variety and quality maintains only bestsellers in print? What major orchestra is content to play only symphonies by Mozart and Beethoven because these are the most popular? Would we accept a university that offers only the courses that have the largest enrollment? Why is it that the major TV industry, privileged to provide entertainment to the nation, can get away with caring little for quality, variety and sophistication, and ignore everything but the almighty viewer numbers, thus all but guaranteeing that their lineups will be filtered through… Read more »
Please keep this show on! I know so many people watching this show and enjoying it!! This is one of the few shows my husband and I enjoy watching together!
Please do not cancel this show. If you are canceling this show due to the ratings try to put it in a different time slot in order to up the ratings and it may survive, it is an excellent show.
