Tonight marks the season finale of Gang Related on FOX. It’s been a season of twists and turns but have the ratings been strong enough for the show to be renewed for a second season — or will it be cancelled instead?
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.
The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers. That was a poor showing right out of the gate and, over the course of the season, the ratings have gotten even worse. Last week’s episode installment hit a new low with a 0.6 demo rating and just 2.01 million viewers.
The season’s averaged a 0.8 rating with 2.56 million. Compared to the network’s other summer shows, Gang Related is performing well behind MasterChef, 24, Hotel Hell, and So You Think You Can Dance.
Though expectations are lower for summer series, it’s highly unlikely that FOX will want to renew Gang Related for a second season. The ratings are just too low — and they’ve essentially been getting worse week after week. More than likely, the execs will roll the dice and try a new program next year.

Ill be so let down if they dont bring it back. Its one of the greatest shows in a long time. Im never hooked on a TV series show. I decided to try Hulu for a change around the 3rd episode and was hooked on this show from the get go. FOX better bring this show back, its the best thing since Fresh Prince or Saved By the Bell for that matter. This show will take off. I think it just needs more advertising. What??!! I can’t believe the ratings are abysmal. This is such a GREAT SHOW!. Perhaps it needs to be marketed better. FOX PLEASE BRING THIS SHOW FOR A 2ND SEASON!!

I loved the show, I would like to see a second season .this show brought my boyfriend and I together each Thursday we would sit down and watch the show together so I ask you please 2 please do a second season season.
Please renew Gang Related as it has captivated me from the beginning. I was intrigued and on the edge of my seat to see how Ryan pulled off his convincing performance of being loyal to both his Unit and Los Angelicos. The season finale left me totally mesmerized and I anxiously await the continuation.

It’s a great show!!! Love it!! I believe fox should renew the series and move the show to a new time slot probably 9pm it should help the show.
This is the best new show that’s been out in a while. Please keep it going. I love the action and suspense. It keeps me on the edge of my seat and it can’t be left with so many loose ends…I need to know what happens next!

BRING THIS SERIES BACK!! It is awesome!!!! I am SOOO tired of reality TV, it’s nice to see a quality show with a twist! You never know what’s going to happen.

Please renew Gang Related it was such an intense show. I love the good and bad involved in it and all of the stars. This is an awesome crime show so different from all the rest. Renew it for another season!!!!!!
