Once again, ABC didn’t announce if General Hospital had been renewed for another year but we know the show wasn’t cancelled either. The network just kept it on the air. Will General Hospital survive to see a 59th season for the 2021-22 broadcast season? Could it possibly be cancelled mid-year? How will it do in the ratings? Stay tuned.
Debuting in 1963 on April 1st, General Hospital revolves around the loves, lives, and deaths of the people of Port Charles, New York. The current season’s cast includes Maurice Benard, Steve Burton, Marcus Coloma, William deVry, Chad Duell, Michael Easton, Genie Francis, Nancy Lee Grahn, Briana Henry, Rebecca Herbst, Roger Howarth, Finola Hughes, William Lipton, Katelyn MacMullen, Sofia Mattsson, Eden McCoy, Sydney Mikayla, Kelly Monaco, Ingo Rademacher, Wes Ramsey, Emme Rylan, Kirsten Storms, Josh Swickard, Donnell Turner, Cynthia Watros, Maura West, and Laura Wright.

For comparisons: The 2019-20 season of General Hospital averaged a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 female demographic with 2.17 million total viewers.

Have been watching since Dr. Hardy and Jesse were in black & white. I love all the characters and so appreciate that COVID never hit Port Charles. Please keep them on!
I have been watching General Hospital since the first episode. It is, and has been the best on the screen( large and small) for years!!!! I even converted many of my friends and they are addicted
I hope that wi not be cancelled and goes on forever!!!

I have been watching GH since I was 2. After I got older I would rush home from school. Then when I started working would record it. Hate it when they will put political stuff during that time but show Drew and Dr. Phil. Keep it on. Please!
Please keep GH. The ratings are not truly defined. I have DirecTV, I’ve lost count how many times political parties needed to air unneccesary news conferences since January 2020.
Please keep General Hospital on the air. I have been watching this for many years. I look forward to watching it each day. My other favorites, AMC and OLTL are gone, this is the only one left for me to enjoy.
General Hospital is abc best daytime show! So many talk shows & news shows which are so repetitive. ABC best lineup was All My Children, One Life To Live, General Hospital, Oprah & then the news. Thank God General Hospital is still on!!! Renew GH!!! Hard to watch news & talk shows all day. Thank you!
It needs to stay but it does need better writing that closed stories faster and keeps new ones popping up. That’s why ratings fluctuate so much. It’s written so “slow” you can skip a few days or week and still catch up.
You can really skip a month and know what’s happening. I am begging the writers to speed it up a bit. We have a short attention span. Ha ha!!
PS: PLEASE don’t let Roger Howarth go. He is terrific!!
Please please keep my show General Hospital on, I have been watching since I was a child and would be lost without it. I am very sick and this gives me daily Joy.
Tired same characters and stroylines. Tired baby sceams. People coming back from the dead. Sonny and Jason only reason to watch. Kinda thinking maybe time to hang it up. I barley watvh it especially when Jax and Nina are on. I really dont like show anymore. Carly is awesome!!
Pls don’t cancel. You took away AMC and OLTL. This is one thing of very few things I look forward to. The ratings numbers are off because of the insurrection and the trial weeks. So those weeks shouldn’t count and must be removed from the calculation average. Pls adjust and keep the show!
You CAN’T CANCEL General Hospital!!! I’m an artist and spend many hours in my studio working on orders, GH keeps me going, especially in these depressing times, GH takes me to another world, I can’t even imagine my show not being there…

I have been watching General Hospital since I was 12 yrs old. I would get home from Jr. High and on it would go. I am now 62 yrs old and I love this soap. Please leave this and the other soap operas on! Some of us stay at home people like the stories. If they are canceled, all
there is left to watch in the daytime are gossip talk shows and stupider games shows, with a few political covid interruptions. I might as sell my TV and cancel Xfinity.
I love this show it gives me something to watch that I have loved forever I have been watching for over 30 years I believe I can’t imagine you taking this off it has been off for 7 weekdays now and I miss these characters what is going on? Judi
