Can Anne see the danger that’s coming her way in the second season of the Gentleman Jack TV show on HBO and BBC One? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Gentleman Jack is cancelled or renewed for season three. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustrated when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the second season episodes of Gentleman Jack here. *Status Update Below.
An HBO and BBC One historical drama series, the Gentleman Jack TV show stars Suranne Jones, Sophie Rundle, Timothy West, Jodhi May, Katherine Kelly, Derek Riddell, Gemma Jones, Stephanie Cole, Peter Davison, Amelia Bullmore, Vincent Franklin, Shaun Dooley, Rosie Cavaliero, Joe Armstrong, Anthony Flanagan, and George Costigan. Drawing upon the real Anne Lister’s copious diary entries (part of which were written in code), the story centers on Anne (Suranne Jones), a landowner and industrialist. She sets out to shore up Shibden Hall, her West Yorkshire family estate, by reopening the local Halifax coal mine and marrying well. The twist is, Anne does not intend to marry a man. In season two, it’s 1832 and all eyes are on Anne Lister and Ann Walker (Rundle) as they set up home together at Shibden Hall as wife and wife, determined to combine their estates and become a power couple. Anne’s entrepreneurial spirit frightens the locals as much as her unconventional love life and, with Halifax on the brink of revolution, her refusal to keep a low profile becomes provocative and dangerous.

*7/9/22 update: Gentleman Jack has been cancelled so there won’t be a third season on HBO.
Please, serie 3 and 4 as Sally have in mind. Huge impact for understanding to be tolerant for love between two people, doesn’t matter the sexe. Educational, funny, starting discussions and understanding.
Fantastic show and deserves a third season. Very well made with a fantastic set and costumes. All actresses and actors are extremely talented. I hope HBO does the right thing and makes a third season. We are all counting on you even though ratings seem to be down in the STRUGGLING ECONOMY. So consider thst and do the third.
I found Gentleman Jack by accident. Became admittedly fascinated with Ann Lister . This quirky character is wonderful. I hope the series will continue Can’t wait to find out what’s next!
Hoping for season 3. Love this series.
I think Gentleman Jack has taken a bit of a hit – as with Covid, there was such a long gap between Season 1 & Season 2. The writing and acting in season 2 was as good as ever though & there is still much of the story (true story) to tell.
I am completely enamored with this series. I desperately want a Season 3.
In these times when misogyny is rampant, and once again women are
dealing with all of their hard won rights threatened, it is important to offer an historical option for women to view, to fully understand how important it is NOT to go backwards. Anne Lister was an anomaly in her day, and an extraordinary model of women being powerful without apology.
Love it
