After years of focusing on reality shows, Bravo has ventured into producing a scripted drama — Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce. Will this TV show be a big enough success in the ratings to earn a second season or, will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned to find out.
Inspired by the book series by Vicki Iovine, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce follows self-help guru Abby McCarthy (Lisa Edelstein). She shocks the world when she reveals that she has separated from her husband and she soon finds her career in a free fall. As she starts to navigate life as a middle-aged single woman, Abby turns to her new divorced friends for advice. Other performers include Janeane Garofalo, Beau Garrett, Alanna Ubach, Necar Zadegan, Paul Adelstein, J. August Richards, C. Thomas Howell, Julianna Guill, Michael Weaver, and Charles Mesure.
