Grand Army is coming to Netflix. The drama is based on a play by Katie Cappliello, which is titled Slut. The streaming service has ordered 10 episodes of the drama. A premiere date has not been set, but it will arrive in 2020.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, the Netflix series tells the story of “five students at the largest public high school in Brooklyn as they wrestle with sexual, racial and economic politics and fight to succeed, strive, wild out, break free and become somebody.”
The cast for Grand Army has also been set. Odessa A’zion, Amalia Yoo, Maliq Johnson, Amir Bageria and Odley Jean will be the five students the drama is centered on. Check out photos of the cast from a recent tweet below.

Behind the scenes, Cappiello is being listed as creator for the series. She will also serve as executive producer. For the series, she is teaming up with Beau Willmon, who is the man behind House of Cards on Netflix and The First on Hulu.
