Grimm aired its 100th episode on NBC last week, and it has been a fight for the series to make it that far, according to David Giuntoli. He spoke about the series in an interview with The Los Angeles Times this week, and he made one shocking revelation.
Season six could be the last season for this series. NBC has not yet renewed the series though, so it could very well end with the fifth season. Fans will need to wait for news on the fate of the series.
The series’ 100th episode did answer a big question. Nick and Monroe found the treasure that was hinted at during the start of the series. They managed to uncover it on the last episode, and it had great power. It healed Monroe from an infected bite.
Giuntoli said the following about the future of the series:
“It’s very rare that an actor gets so many opportunities between “action” and “cut.” Most of your time as an actor is spent trying to get to that point, not living within those two points, and when you’re on a long-running series, you have so much time in between those two moments to actually yell “cut.” So, I’m ever grateful for all of the opportunities I get to kind of change it up — fix things, better things, tweak things. If we get a Season 6, it could very well be our last season, and it will be the first time that the writers would get to write to an ending. If we do, it’ll be a very fun ride, with major events.”
The series has been a Friday night staple for several seasons, but the ratings have seen a dip this season. Do you want a sixth season of this series? Tell us what you think.
I love Grimm. It’s exciting and exhilarating and keeps me wanting more.
I love this show. I don’t want it finishes
I love the Tales series since the first day … I am from Venezuela, the chapters see them online in English, subtitles and even in Spanish usually I always see is Saturdays and afternoon, precisely when they climb up Internet.
Things that come in the series are great, and it is better to tell a good story with a good ending, to tell the same story lengthen it and make it **** like Pretty Little Liars example.
Man, they always do that. Get into a show and just when it’s getting good, they cancel it. Oh, by all means, keep those crappy reality shows.
It has been a welcome escape from this messy mixed up world, what a shame if it ended
If the ratings have dipped, it’s because they’ve been slim with episodes. It took them until Halloween to start the season, when most shows start by mid-September. Then they only had a handful of episodes until after their winter break, and again didn’t start back up until the end of January. Alot of viewers probably forgot about it while waiting for it to start it’s season, which is very sad for the show. I love Grimm and would be very lost without it. Please keep bringing it back! Just don’t make us wait til Halloween for it every year though.
YESSS!!!! Please keep Grimm around. I love this show!
We as a family love Grimm. TV is filled with so many reality shows and sitcoms. My grandson has 2 favorite shows. Flash and Grimm. He loves that he has those shoes in common with us. I’m not sure if the ratings reflect 18 and under because it seems to be a hit with them.
There MUST be another season of Grimm! This is one of the best shows on TV. I have watched it from day 1 & as soon as one season has ended, I eagerly look forward to the next one.
I am sure there are lots of storylines yet to be explored with a great set of characters that we know & love. There must be lots of other fans like me here in the UK, so rally to the cause.
Grimm must not be cancelled!!!
I don’t think Adalind needs to go. She is fantastic character and Claire Coffee is amazing actress. The show should be renewed for 1 more season, but it is clear that first seasons were much more interesting, than the show now. This Juliette/Eve thing is just horrible
Please DO Not Cancel Grimm.
It’s the best tv show out there
I love Grimm. It’s fresh, intriguing and very well executed… I hope they get many other seasons
Oh no. Please TV gods, let there be more seasons of Grimm. As bonkers as it is, we LOVE this show! We just visited Portland because of Grimm, and, let me just say, the city is as beautifully lush and alternately gloomy and scintillating shiny as it seems in the show’s universe (though, no wesen, sadly). We count down all week to Friday. It’s how we start our weekend right. This has got me thinking, though. My proclamations of deep love aside I will admit that there have been times in the last couple of seasons where I’ve wanted to… Read more »
Grimm is one of the best written TV shows on now…It is creative and has a unique twist to the “Grimm Fairy Tales” Stories..It would be a real shame to stop the program….and put on another HORRIBLE REALITY SHOW….It is time to reward these programs with another year.
You want to save the show, kill Adalind already. This stupid trying to make Nick and Adalind a couple is ruining the show.
