Grimm aired its 100th episode on NBC last week, and it has been a fight for the series to make it that far, according to David Giuntoli. He spoke about the series in an interview with The Los Angeles Times this week, and he made one shocking revelation.
Season six could be the last season for this series. NBC has not yet renewed the series though, so it could very well end with the fifth season. Fans will need to wait for news on the fate of the series.
The series’ 100th episode did answer a big question. Nick and Monroe found the treasure that was hinted at during the start of the series. They managed to uncover it on the last episode, and it had great power. It healed Monroe from an infected bite.
Giuntoli said the following about the future of the series:
“It’s very rare that an actor gets so many opportunities between “action” and “cut.” Most of your time as an actor is spent trying to get to that point, not living within those two points, and when you’re on a long-running series, you have so much time in between those two moments to actually yell “cut.” So, I’m ever grateful for all of the opportunities I get to kind of change it up — fix things, better things, tweak things. If we get a Season 6, it could very well be our last season, and it will be the first time that the writers would get to write to an ending. If we do, it’ll be a very fun ride, with major events.”
The series has been a Friday night staple for several seasons, but the ratings have seen a dip this season. Do you want a sixth season of this series? Tell us what you think.
This is a great show -please do not cancel it. I don’t understand why junk shows like HollywoodGame Night and Nick Cannon shows are on. It has interesting plot lines, a good cast and a loyal following.
This is my absolute favorite show – please keep it on the air. Get rid of junk TV like Hollywood Game Night. I love the plot twists of Grimm and the cast. What are you thinking ??? Don’t cancel this show,
I don’t want Grimm to go anywhere its too good of a show they better keep this show
Please keep this show on , I love this show it seems like every time a great show comes on its canceled!! KEEP GRIMM ON!!!!
I never miss the show. I’ve been watching for years and don’t want to see it end. The possibilities for this show are endless. There is a wealth of characters there that can be mined. And of course there’s Adalind’s little hexen/grim baby which will probably start ageing quickly, a power onto herself.
PLEASE dont take Grimm away….I will NEVER watch NBC again….Take garbage shows like the voice off and leave Grimm alone!!!!
This is one of my favorite TV shows. We cannot get cable of any kind where I live so there are only so many shows that we get and I enjoy. Love, love, love this show. Please don’t cancel this show. I can just see “another” show about someone else’s “real life”. Sick of those shows. Give me entertainment like this show.
I have been a big fan of Grimm since it began and will be extremely disappointed if they decide to end the season. I believe that there are so many more stories waiting to come and that it has a strong and lotyal following. Please renew the program and keep it moving forward.
I will be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO upset if my FAVORITE TV show is Cancelled! There is not another shower anywhere near like it and the actors who play these characters are perfect in every way….PLEASE don’t cancel…..I will just die! I will just have to stop watching NBC altogether!
Please renew Grimm for another season at least. I have been a loyal viewer from the beginning and have thoroughly enjoyed the evolution of all of the characters. Please don’t end it too soon.
Love the show, never miss it! I’m not sure why the network is so concerned with ratings, it’s a Friday show and expectations on that night are never as high. There are many more Grimm stories yet to tell, many more Wesen still to meet. Supernatural is in its tenth season and going strong, so there is definitely an audience for this genre. I am POSITIVE whatever POS show replaces Grimm will suck as usual and be cancelled like everything else anyway.
Supernatural is in its 11th season and renewed for the 12th season. Grimm is just as good and could pull of several more seasons.
the writers on supernatural.!! are way better than grimms writers, thats how they got 12 seasons,!! GRIMM has turned into a soap opera, it just needs to end with a proper ending.!! and fresh ideas, every episode looks the same and sounds the same.!!! bla bla bla bla.!!!
No! Please give a new season 6! It is very exciting and my favorite Grimm. It doesn’t like other! The Grimm is a great Season. Especially Adalind and Nick’s relationship!
Plus the writer can write about Adalinds power coming back or getting suppressed for her live for Nick or baby Grimm growing up him having powers. Trouble getting into more trouble and Eve reincarnating Nicks Mum. See I can write a show up. Don’t get Rid of it it’s my family Weekend Ritual in Australia. We are the biggest Aussie fans don’t let the show go My weekend wii never be the same without Grimm !!!
I hope that Grimm can make at least a 6th season and maybe a 7th (not likely though). I first saw Grimm on CGV while living in Korea and felt that it was one recent American drama worth the watch. Since my return to Canada I have been able to catch the random episodes missed because CGV had an unreliable schedule for it. Most plot lines have been tied up till now. Episode 100 answered questions raised in season 2 when they discussed the keys. I get the feeling that the series has run its course. I believe that all… Read more »
Have enjoyed Grimm since the beginning, and do NOT want it to end.
No,no, no. Do not cancel one of my favorite shows. It’s a terrific show with plenty of excitement and creepy characters. Please, please not yet.
