Grimm aired its 100th episode on NBC last week, and it has been a fight for the series to make it that far, according to David Giuntoli. He spoke about the series in an interview with The Los Angeles Times this week, and he made one shocking revelation.
Season six could be the last season for this series. NBC has not yet renewed the series though, so it could very well end with the fifth season. Fans will need to wait for news on the fate of the series.
The series’ 100th episode did answer a big question. Nick and Monroe found the treasure that was hinted at during the start of the series. They managed to uncover it on the last episode, and it had great power. It healed Monroe from an infected bite.
Giuntoli said the following about the future of the series:
“It’s very rare that an actor gets so many opportunities between “action” and “cut.” Most of your time as an actor is spent trying to get to that point, not living within those two points, and when you’re on a long-running series, you have so much time in between those two moments to actually yell “cut.” So, I’m ever grateful for all of the opportunities I get to kind of change it up — fix things, better things, tweak things. If we get a Season 6, it could very well be our last season, and it will be the first time that the writers would get to write to an ending. If we do, it’ll be a very fun ride, with major events.”
The series has been a Friday night staple for several seasons, but the ratings have seen a dip this season. Do you want a sixth season of this series? Tell us what you think.
My wife and I are huge fans of Grimm. With masterful writing and extremely creative storytelling, it’s an amazing show. It certainly needs to continue!
I love Grimm. It’s one of my must-watch shows. I think this season has been engrossing and I’m always anxious for the next episode.
Keep Grimm on. I love this show. Never miss a show. Probably won’t visit Portland because of this show.
Grimm is a series for selected viewers who appreciate creative writing. Viewers that find it boring probably prefer reality shows that appeal to their limited imagination. That’s why we have tv remotes.
our family loves the show and we look forward to Grimm Night each week of the season. Please keep the seasons coming. The show is one of a kind!!
Thank you for season six. Hopefully I will say the same when we get to season 10 – 12. Keep them coming.
please let season 6 be the end of grimm.!! and it should only get 13 episodes, just enough to tie up the loose ends, season 5, was insulting, and boring.!! i have no plans on buying season 5.!! must be nice to work at NBC, its hard to get fired,!! ask, their writers, kouf and greenwalt.?? i have been a grimm fan since the pilot episode, and never thought the writing could get this bad.!!
My husband and I look forward to Friday evening to watch Grimm. We have not missed an episode. There is a story thread connecting each episode yet each episode explores a stand alone secondary story. We love Grimm and hope it continues for a 6th season. The plot, writings and acting are truly entertaining and logical in story development.
Please do not cancel Grimm. It is awesome
Love Grimm–from the beginning. New and refreshing and a horror
story of sorts that has HUMOR in it as well!
Each week brings something different. Don’t cut Grimm–it has its
following for sure!
