If you were waiting anxiously to find out the identity of the mysterious Magic Man on ABC’s Happy Town, you’ll have to wait a bit longer.
Happy Town revolves around a bunch of strange disappearances and murders in a small town. The large cast includes Sam Neill, M.C. Gainey, Geoff Stults, Lauren German, Amy Acker, Steven Weber, Ben Schnetzer, Sarah Gadon, Jay Paulson, and Robert Wisdom.
After a disappointing start in the ratings, Happy Town was pulled off the airwaves for much of May. Before the show could return on June 2nd, ABC officially cancelled the series. Only eight episodes have been filmed but at least answers to some of the TV show’s mysteries will be revealed by the end.
Unfortunately, ABC has pulled the show off the air once again. Happy Town was scheduled to take next Wednesday off but return for June 30th and July 7th with the last installments. The network has decided, likely because Happy Town’s ratings have gotten really bad, to replace them with repeats of Castle.
It’s likely that ABC will get around to airing the last two episodes of Happy Town on a Saturday night sometime this summer. It won’t be soon though. On July 3rd, they’ll burn off the last episodes of the forgotten. On July 10th, the network’s airing the extra two episodes of Eastwick. Could Happy Town return on July 17th? Another mystery that we’ll have to wait to have solved.
What do you think? Are you upset that ABC has pulled the last two episodes of Happy Town? Do you think they’ll ever air?

Very upset. I have been waiting patiently for the next episode to air. Happytown may not be the Golden Girls but there are people watching it out there. Even if you don’t put it back on TV at least post it online so us dedicated fans can see the ending for this mystery “magic man.”
I can’t believe the show would be pulled. I looked forward to it each week and it had really become exciting. I agree I watch more TNT and USA because the networks pull this kind of thing all the time!
Hi there,
I have really gotten hooked on the show Happy Town and am really looking forward to finding out answers. I understand ratings and such, but hope that you will complete the show whether on TV or online. Several of these comments are not very nice, but I hope that you read this one and take note. As a working Mom with kids and husband, please afford a small escape from the rushed life I lead and keep this show on till the finale answers all questions.
Thanks bunches :o)
ABC doesn’t know what the hell they’re doing. As another said, no wonder the other networks out rate them. I’m sick of getting started on good shows only to see them cancelled before they have a chance to grow their legs. I had been away from network TV for five years and returned to watch Life on Mars. When it was cancelled, I stuck around for Flash Forward. We all know what happened there, now this with Happy town. I don’t trust ABC; they’re idiots. It’s back to the cable networks for me.
This is why cable networks like tnt and lifetime ‘s shows survive they are smart enough to leave their new shows on enough to build an audience.Shows like Friends and The x files didn’t have huge ratings their first year think of what we would have missed if fox and nbc were run like abc!!!!
when did a show ever go off the air with out the ending, if this is the case with the happy town show then i will be done with abc,
I am very dissapointed in the fact that Happy Town is being cancelled. How can ABC expect people to fall in love with a show only after seeing two episodes. Also, the ratings for the following few episodes were going to be low because many people were unaware that the rest of the filmed episodes were going to be aired!! And now with the confusion on when the final two episodes will be aired, it is likely the ratings will be low for these episodes also. Happy Town is a thrilling show, it has a plot unlike many of the… Read more »
I am very disappointed this show was cancelled. It was one of my favorites!!!!! PISSED
ABC what are you thinking? I have been watching this show and I need to know what the end is going to reveal. What happened? Maybe the show aired a little too late in the evening for better ratings. I think the show has some really intriguing elements.
abc is so freaking ignorant how the hell do they know who is watching and who aint happy town is a great show and they should of gave it a chance moved it to a different time or something and if they are cancelling it hell show the last two episodes and get it they heck overwith
Why was this cancelled? It seems like all of the networks are doing this. It’s actually the reason I hardly watch shows now until they’ve completed a season. If the TV execs would just give shows a chance they’d probably find larger audiences for them. I really want to see the last 2 eps!!
I just discovered this show yesterday and watched all of the episodes. Then when I go to find out when the next one is on I find this……I can’t believe they wouldn’t just see it through to the end. Maybe the ratings wouldn’t have improved but there were people watching it so there were obviously some fans. The lease they could do is release the last two episodes online.
I am PLEADING with you, please don’t just leave us Happy Town fans hanging. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that show! and I’ve got to know more. I saw previews for the next episode to be shown on June 30th but it’s not in my lineup anywhere. Please don’t just drop it. You have the next two episodes already taped – PLEASE let us see them! We have to have closure (or I’ll go nuts). PLEASE!
If ABC wants to be dumb and cancel this wonderful show – fine, let them be ignorant, but at least let us see the final episodes. They have already been made, so why keep them from us. We need closure! We NEED to see the ending of this. Don’t leave us hanging. I’m beginning to think I need to stop watching ABC altogether. I get involved in a show and then BAM — it’s gone. Don’t cut us off when it’s so good and leave us wondering. That’s just like if I were writing a sentence and….
I am very disappointed in the canceling of the show. This was a show that made me feel like I couldn’t wait for Wednesday nights. ABC is very good for this. I love V also and I never know when that will be on either, and now I’m hearing that won’t be back til possibly November. There is no reason for these long breaks when there has been only roughly 10 episodes. This is why the other networks get better ratings. If there are only 2-3 episodes left of Happy Town then just air them for us people that did… Read more »
