Last season saw a big decline in the demo ratings for Hawaii Five-0. CBS renewed the series for a fifth season and reportedly ordered 25 episodes. Is this a sign that they plan to end the series or could it be renewed for a sixth season if the ratings are strong enough? We’ll have to wait and see.
A reimagining of the original Hawaii Five-0 TV show, this police procedural series revolves around an elite state police task force that fights crime in the 50th state. The series stars Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Masi Oka, and Chi McBride.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/11 update: CBS has renewed Hawaii Five-0 for a sixth season.
Final season averages: 1.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.48 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
For comparisons: The fourth season of Hawaii Five-0 averaged a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.71 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Hawaii Five-0 TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a sixth season?
Yes! I love this show! Ratings could be dropping due to the show being switched to a Friday nights !!! Duh!!!
please move forward into another season. .. honestly this and Blue Bloods are the only shows I watch!
Love Hawaii Five 0 best series on TV and would love many more seasons
Best show on TV!!! The only show I watch and will watch!! Keep it on for many years!!!
Only show where people from all over the world travel to watch the season premiere!!!! I will patronize all advertisers of Hawaii five o!!!!
Why keep so many nasty/onery shows & you want to cancel Hawaii 5/0! Please reconsider!
HAWAAII 5O IS THE BEST SHOW RIGHT NOW ON TV. DO NOY CANCEL. ITS NOT THE SHOW THAT NOT BRINGING THE RATING IS CBS EXCUTIVES THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE BANDDER IS GREAT. STORY LINES ARE AWSOME. BRING BACK LAURIE FROM 2011 SEASEON. SHE HAD GREAT CHEMISTRY WITH STEVE. I THOUGHT SHE FIT IN ALOT BETTER THAN KATHERINE. WHICH WIND UP LEAVING PROBABLY DUE TO CBS. TV HAS TOO MANNY SHOWS THAT ARE ONE DEMINISSIONAL ITS GOOD TO SEE SOMETHING FROM THE PAST WITH A Y2K TWIST TO IT.
Love this show please keep it!!!!!!
I really liked this show until the writing started getting too sloppy. Seriously, are we to believe that Catherine decided to willingly stay in Afghanistan and told Steve to forget about her after they finally said I love you to each other? Or the fact that Steve virtually had no scars after being tortured by Wo Fat? The writers are sloppy about closing off story lines using believable scenarios. This is one show that I lately don’t care if I miss.
McBride is ruining the show. Why is there less and less screen time for Alex?
Of course the original series was so strong that re-prising it counted on mostly younger viewers who never saw the original. The current series had great potential to take on CSI Miami, and other cop dramas. The problem for survival of this series is…. I keep changing to another show as soon as Danno and Steve start into their childish teenage girl-type bickering and arguing, usually while driving in the Camaro. The show’s writers need to all be fired, and stop the soap opera crap, and maybe kill off Danno. Seeing Carol Burnett replace Steve’s mum, if indeed that’s what… Read more »
CBS better not do the crap that they are famous for, cancelling wonderful shows for no good reason. I, watched the original Hawaii 5-0 all the way to the end and loved it, and now I love this one, the cast is fantastic and very attractive. The story lines are very interesting. I would hate to lose it. So CBS stop pulling your crap and leave it alone, leave all the shows alone, they are great !!!
or worse.. scheduling the show for sunday nites
I love this show and I hope it continues for more seasons.
One of my favorite shows, especially during cold east coast winters. I like the character Steve and Dano, good hearts.
One of my favorite shows. Sure hope they keep it.
Love the program. Hope it continues
I watched the original H50 as a kid. Liked the idea of the show then. The give and take between Steve and Dano is much better now. The old Steve was a little much. Enjoy the show even better now and like seeing whats going to happen each episode. I also have recorded some episodes so my son and I can watch them together. We’ve watched every season and looking forward to the sixth season. Keep it going, the set and the scenery its awesome. You do have a fallowing.
The old Steve was doing his job. He was the head of state police force dealing with spies, serial killers, drug dealers, and rapists all the time. The crimes were better thought-out than on the new show and more various, allowing for McGarrett to have more conflicts. Danno was loyal to him and the two only argued when it was necessary to do so, not bicker like children like the new ones do. The give and take is not there at all. That was how crime shows in the ’70s were done.
