Sorry, Greg Grunberg. It turns out that Ali Larter might just be right. It seems that the Heroes wrap-up movie isn’t happening.
As fans know all too well, after NBC cancelled Heroes in May, there was talk about wrapping up the TV show’s storylines as either a movie or a mini-series. Despite the fact that some time had passed, series creator Tim Kring recently indicated he was still optimistic.
He said, “It looks like we’re really going to start talking about it now. The summer months in television are always about preparing for the Fall launch of all the new shows, so I totally understand why there hasn’t been a lot of discussion [until now]. Once the Fall season is launched, I fully believe that this discussion will get reignited in a very big way.”
Now, according to EW sources, NBC isn’t going ahead with the project, at least for the 2010-11 season. However, that may not be the end of the Heroes universe. Kring believes that the show’s broad premise allows for many different stories to be told in many different ways.
What do you think? If not onscreen, how would you like to see Heroes continue — as books, comics, animation, web shorts, or in some other form?

Bring the show back, if NBC won’t do it, go elsewhere and start tying the stories together better. What happened to what was going to happen in the future? And where are these abilities coming from?
what the heck NBC . You could have least had an ending to it. Only fair, all I can say.
NBC shouldn’t leave Heroes fans hanging like this, what the hey? Claire and dad are forever underground in a trailer????
Like some of the previous posters just learned heroes wouldnt be back after seeing nbcs crap fall lineup. BOOOOO is all i can say.
I DON’T GET IT!! WHY THESE KNUCKLEHEADS GET AWAY WITH NOT ENDING A STORY. OH YEH WE KEEP GOING BACK TO WATCHING THEIR PROGRAMMING. NOT ME, I AM DONE WITH NBC.
very very bad news… but i’m still hoping for the season 5. ive watch the complete series. and they must finish what they started though. 😀
NBC doesn’t know what the heck their doing! That was proven with the Jay Leno/Conan O’Brien fiasco! Heroes rocked our world! People talked about it on the bus, in lunch rooms, laundry rooms, grocery lines, and just about any place where people gather! I haven’t seen that kind of excitement since the launch of ER! And look at how huge the send-off was that they gave that series! Ok NBC, so you want to bury the show. At least give it a proper burial! It’s just stupid to cut a series without an ending!
Bring HEROES back, you stupid idiotic NBC Executives!! You are bunch of morons! How many other BOMB shows are you going to publish and waste your money on?
Damn it. Some other network needs to pick up the show, that’s it. I loved season 4 as much as any other. I could see it ending with season 5. Buy not giving us all hope waiting for season 5 just to cancel, then promise plans of a wrap up just to cancel. They need to pick it up at ABC and finish the final season. Something, but not this flakey bs from
NBC come on guys. Talk about no follow through. Bah humbug.
You know, Heroes was a great burst of freshness when it first aired. The seasons one and two…and even season three…cliffhangers kept me hanging on. I think the story just got too convoluted and viewers lost enough interest that it wasn’t in NBC’s best financial interest to put all of their eggs in this basket. Let’s face it, the show was slowly losing wind and the writing just became agonizingly ridiculous. I truly miss Heroes, but not the season 4 Heroes. It’s probably for the better that the show whimpered away while it was still marginally good and didn’t hang… Read more »
It’s a shame NBC cannot finish anything lately. They seem very concentrated on releasing one bomb of a show after another. Tim Kring needs to find a way to get ABC, Fox or CBS to pick up the series. Or better yet, feature film!
I feel like an ass waiting and watching for season 5 of Heroes only to look it up today and find nada no new season , no wrap-up.Goodness have you seen the crap coming to NBC this season……Please NBC there are still interesting people in the world who love a interesting and unique story. Some of the characters were sooo good and it was such a smart idea. Please give us hero fans something !!!! Urh ! sooo pissed!
Absolutely heart broken that Heroes has left our television world. It finally proved that television can be entertaining and not mind blowing boring…here’s to wishing that Heroes returns to TV quickly and brillantly!!
I’m am so disappointed in NBC. Here was a show that was truly different and new. Instead of sticking with it, they prove themselves to be a bunch of idiots!!! There has to be more Hero. It can’t have ended like that. I’d watch it anyway possible. Tell me when and where.
Once NBC comes out with some sucky shows, they’ll realize Heroes was a unique Gem. The fact that fans are still awaiting a finale has to say something. It did need to be wrapped up soon, one last season. I hope someone out there is willing to finish this story.
