Hallmark Channel has renewed its Home & Family TV show for a sixth season. The renewal news comes a little more than a year after Debbie Matenopoulos replaced Cristina Ferrare as Mark Steines’ co-host.

AS THE ULTIMATE HOW-TO PROGRAMMINGBEVERLY HILLS, CA – July 27, 2017 – Hallmark Channel has renewed its two-time Daytime Emmy® nominated, original lifestyle series “Home & Family” for a sixth season that will begin September 11, 2017. “Home & Family” will continue to air 260 original episodes this season, with new episodes premiering Monday through Friday (10a.m. ET/PT, 9C – 12p.m. ET/PT, 11C) on Hallmark Channel. The announcement was made today as part of Crown Media Family Network’s bi-annual TV Critics Association Summer Press Tour.
The sixth season of “Home & Family” will feature advice and information from experts at the top of their fields and help viewers achieve goals from everyday tasks to once in a lifetime events. In addition to celebrity interviews, the show offers viewers fun and useful segments on cooking, DIY, health and beauty, fitness, gardening, pet care, finances, parenting and so much more.

Recent guests that have visited include Venus Williams, Carol Burnett, Kathy Bates, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sarah Michelle Geller, Kristin Davis, Jane Lynch, Guy Fieri, Queen Latifah, Beau Bridges, Marisa Tomei and Bindi Irwin and family.

When Debbie is gone, I will watch again. A few times over the past year I have recorded to watch a particular celebrity or dyi. And shocked that she is still there, still talking over people, checking herself in the camera, rude when playing any and all games, etc. so many fans of home and family have written the same thing, but seems Mr. woody believes he’ll look weak if he gets rid of her. I have to agree with all above – I can no longer stand watching Debbie or Mark. Debbie never stops talking and takes over every conversation and won’t let the guest talk. Mark is ridiculous with all his rude remarks and put down of poor Kym. I love Kym. Why is Mark involved in all the women issues? He does not need to be there when they are talking make-up, hairstyles, etc. Love both Matts, Orly, Paige, Ken, Dr JJ, Lawrence and the lovely lady that talks about gardening, etc. Debbie takes over every competitive game they play and is… Read more »

Cristina Ferrare is so missed and is simply irreplaceable. I haven’t watched the program since she was unceremoniously dumped.
Sad that this program was renewed without Christina Ferrare. Happy for the staff who works so hard to make it seem like it’s one happy family since they unceremoniously axed Christina. Kym, Sophie, Paige and Ken try hard and I wish them all well bcuz it wasn’t their fault Christina got gone. On the other hand, Woody, Debbie and Mark are difficult to forgive. Can’t lose the bad feelings about them still.

She didn’t leave. She was fired because she was too old and Debbie was young and fresh. Personally, I think that watching Debbie is like nails on a chalkboard. Really sharp and hard to put up with for any length of time.

when I do watch the show, I certainly don’t view it for “guidance” in ANY area of my life. I watch it for entertainment. I do get some great tips from Shirley, Sophie and Kym but I do not go to tv for guidance nor have I gotten any help achieving my goals from the show and I certainly wouldn’t try to find my muse in an entertainment/diy show. crazy and or sad that the shows execs would think so highly of themselves. the majority of the shows cast (“family members”) don’t seem to hold themselves on such high pedestals… Read more »
I do not watch anymore since they fired Christina because of her age. I can’t stand Debbie M. She is too much to take for 2 hours a day and seems silly. Miss Christina a lot.
I alsom5zgfo don’t watch the show because Christina is not there anymore. I related more to Christina than to Debbie. She gets on my nerves and seems so fake. Been watching Martha Stewart. She’s real.
I used to watch faithly I even traveled to CA to go to a taping which is not easy since I am handicapped and in a wheelchair. But I do not watch anymore the hosts are terrible, Christina made the show she was Home and Family! The show seems to be trying to hard to be geared for a younger audience, so allsyou did was run your mature watchers away!! So good luck and tell Mark and Deb to get over yourself and stop interrupting your guests when they are talking.
Mark and Deb don’t talk over their guest. They are asking their he guest a question what you don’t want them to not ask a question .

I do not watch anymore since Cristina left. I tried it a few times but it isn’t working for me. I will check in now and then to see a diy or a guest but thats usually on fb. I loved watching you had a good thing going.

Don’t like it at all since Christina left. Mark and Debbie are so full of themselves it’s ridiculous. I tried to keep watching but after 4 shows, I quit watching.
I really don’t like the hosts of this show anymore. They are trying way too hard and that whole ‘Home and (look at each other) Family’ bit just has to stop. I miss Christina and have tried to like Ms. Matenopolous in this role but it’s not doing it for me. I love the cooking segments, adore Paige Hemmis and (usually) the guests. I’ve watched off and on the entire run (including Paige Davis as co-host) but it’s just getting tiresome. Sorry.

i watch a little. wait to see what the craft for the day is but not a regular viewer anymore. not a fan so much of orlies crafts they are geared for the young i think . i enjoy kens much more and paiges
