We loved making the show & that it was well received by so many made it all the more special.” The Home Fires cast also includes: Samantha Bond, Francesca Annis, Ruth Gemmell, Claire Rushbrook, Ed Stoppard, Chris Coghill, Clare Calbraith, Fenella Woolgar, Mark Bazeley, and Mike Noble. Many of them have tweeted about the cancellation, too.

What do you think? Are you a fan of Home Fires? Should the Home Fires TV show have been cancelled or renewed? Let us know, below.
Our whole family watched home fires and we all are dismayed to hear that it has been cancelled Please bring it back so the story can be finished. Please
Why cancel this wonderful show. Please bring it back so we can have the story finalised, it was left up in the air.
Please renew this amazing show. It teaches those of us what it was like during this era.
Please bring back Home Fires for Season 3. Love this show.
“A Place To Call Home”, a very popular Australian period drama, was cancelled then repackaged under Foxtel Soho, Hopefully “Home Fires” will also be saved before the cast irretrievably disperse. How is it that channel directors do not strive harder to ensure continuing funding for high quality dramas?
After 3 seasons of ” A Place To Call Home ” ITV left us hanging, What’s the deal with these folks ?
I ordered Home Fires Season 2 on eBay. It was British Region 2 DVD but you can install free Videolan viewer ( www,videolan.com ) on your computer and watch it. Use HDMI cable to view on your Flat screen TV. Sorry to hear no Season 3.
Only just heard that Home Fires will not continue. What a shame! I really enjoyed the first two series. I guess the budget was unsustainable.
Totally disappointed with cancellation. This is a GREAT SHOW!
I am so very angry at those who cancel beautifully written dramas with great acting. So much tras left. Even worse when they leave the stories with no closure. Poor decisions.
I am just so disappointed that Home Fires has been axed. I live in Australia, and of all the ITV shows we get here this was the best. You need to let viewers know the ending if you are not going to continue, as it was left with so many unfinished storylines. We don’t need new shows, just this one. Please listen to your viewers.
Everybody sign up to petition.

I speak from the United States. This is sad news indeed. Why would you cancel such a successful show. The cast and stories are riveting. Please rethink this. You have made a terrible error. I do not engage in movies but this was touching in all aspects. How do I share the two series with others when I know the end will be so disappointing to them? Please consider bringing in this cast and season three.
I can’t believe that ITV has so little regards for their viewers desire. I will think long and hard before devoting more of my time in future to anything ITV offers.
This is truly very, very regrettable. It was a very moving, touching, vibrant series that depicted ordinary Britain during the war. It seemed so much closer than
Downton Abbey. It was beautifully and realistically scripted and the stereotyping that there was was indeed a true echo and mirrors of those times. And I speak from experience.
