The Hooten & The Lady TV show has been cancelled after one season on The CW in the US and Sky 1 in UK. The Wrap reports CW president Mark Pedowitz said, “We are pleased with the total viewing audience. We wish the 18-49 ratings were better.” Pedowitz also told reporters, “We were informed by the British yesterday that they were not planning to go forward with a season two.” The show is a Sky series, so it seems its fate is sealed.
A British action-adventure series, Hooten & The Lady follows American treasure hunter Ulysses Hooten (Michael Landes) and his British counterpart, Lady Alexandra Lindo-Parker (Ophelia Lovibond). The CW cast also includes Jessica Hynes, Shaun Parkes, Jane Seymour, Jonathan Bailey, and Joanna Scanlan.

What a disappointment. With so many reality shows taking over tv, it was really refreshing to sit back and enjoy this program.
This is my favorite new show this summer. I can’t beleive it’s being cancelled. Please reconsider. I just finished telling all my friends about it and now you’ve gone and cancelled it. If you had promoted it a bit better you might have reached a bigger audience.

I can’t believe that this show is being canceled. It is my favorite show this summer. Finally you get a great tv show that is like watching an exciting adventure movie every week with humor and then you decide to take it away. This is the best show to come around in a long time. The chemistry between the main characters is fantastic. I think you should do a second season with better advertising and watch this show take off.
Too bad you people seem to think 18 t0 49 group has all the money to spend on bs products. They don’t! I’m over 70 and I have and do spend my money on anything I want. I saw the the 1st week it was on and then could not find it for another 3 or 4 weeks. Way to go CW on promoting the show. The show is actually a good show. I could go on, but what’s the use

OH…come on!!!! You get a really good show on the air then some survey that has no accuracy what-so-ever gets the show cancelled???? What’s the matter? Not enough sex or filthy language involved? Maybe a good wholesome show is what we need in these times. The age group that you are targeting are probably on their cellphones any way. You really disappoint me and alot of other people.
I wish you would not cancel this show i really like it and so do a lot of my friends I think your wrong. please if you do cancell let me know where i can turn to to see it.
I can’t believe they are cancelling this show. It is so good. Shame on BBC. This 18 to 49 crap gets old. I agree with Mary Smith on that subject. There are so few well-made shows out there today, it really hurts when such a well made program like this bites the dust.
One of the few shows I looked forward to watching among the dismal offerings by the apparently unimaginative writers and producers from the vast majority of shows that make it past one season. I did not discover it until a few weeks ago and from reading some comments, I think I was not alone. It needed more time to catch on.

Oh my, the best show ever!!! I have told my friends and now they also record and watch this show. I even watch it when it is a repeat!! A family show. No sex, major profanity or violence. So tired of “reality” shows! Viewers get to see the world though the adventures of these actors. I even looked up one of the adventures/artifacts they were searching for and learned it was indeed factual. I never watched this network before, now I tune in. One season is not enough to get viewers so enticed.
This is one of the BEST SHOWS EVER!! It provides excitement–romance–adventure–suspense– Along with pulling off a great interaction with the lead stars and a comedic energy!! I LOVE THIS SHOW!! THE ONLY TIME I HAVE EVER WATCHED THE CW!! If it is gone, it will be the last!
It was a decent show though the Indiana Jones type of adventure story line seems a bit far fetched.
The series could have been extended for Season 2 but what does the BBC know? Doctor Who was cancelled in the past and was resurrected successfully so the BBC has ZERO credibility.
I love watching this show with my kids. Please don’t cancel!!
