The Hooten & The Lady TV show has been cancelled after one season on The CW in the US and Sky 1 in UK. The Wrap reports CW president Mark Pedowitz said, “We are pleased with the total viewing audience. We wish the 18-49 ratings were better.” Pedowitz also told reporters, “We were informed by the British yesterday that they were not planning to go forward with a season two.” The show is a Sky series, so it seems its fate is sealed.
A British action-adventure series, Hooten & The Lady follows American treasure hunter Ulysses Hooten (Michael Landes) and his British counterpart, Lady Alexandra Lindo-Parker (Ophelia Lovibond). The CW cast also includes Jessica Hynes, Shaun Parkes, Jane Seymour, Jonathan Bailey, and Joanna Scanlan.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Hooten & The Lady TV series? Are you disappointed there will be no second season on The CW?
I love the show, I was really looking forward to nexted season. It was refreshing to watch a show that wasn’t about war or a hospital drama. I’m really disappointed in the CW.
Loved the show too bad it got cancelled. Never heard of the show until I was looking for something funny to watch. Are y’all sure you can’t revive it? Lady Alexandria and Hooten were hilarious.
I’m so sorry to see such an entertaining show, with a bit of fascinating history as a basis for the show, being cancelled. I’m an “elder” woman and am sorry that CW feels that older adults are no longer an audience worth attracting. Have they forgotten that we are consumers also?
I agree; although I’m probably not considered ‘elder’-I’m 57- I am pretty sure that I’m not in the age group that networks seem to concentrate on attracting. Which I’ve heard/read is officially 18 to 49, but sometimes seems more like they are after the 15 to 25 age group. After all, if the say 40 and older, especially 50 and older age group were to be taken into account in the ratings as much as the teens and ‘twenty somethings’ how many of these cancelled shows like Hooten And The Lady would be brought back instead. In fact, shows like… Read more »
I don’t know many 30-50 year olds who think like 18-25 year olds anyway. Obviously pandering to the lowest end of this demographic! Thanks, CW.
Anything worth watching is cancelled. The CW executives are as flighty as the demographic that they only concern themselves with. Teens are in charge here. Plenty of seasons of Arrow and The Flash. Wouldn’t want any reality to sink in…they don’t even know the history or locations behind Hooten and the Lady anyway. Bunch of dingbats…
Such a great trip back to the days of Indiana Jones and Romancing the Stone. Certainly, more difficult to do as a TV series but the leads held our interest. Good entertainment. Please bring it back.
Our family could hardly wait for each upcoming episode! We described it as “Miss Fisher Meets Indiana Jones,” and everyone we talked to said it was one of the very best things on TV. We’re shocked and saddened to learn that it’s been canceled. WHY ON EARTH WOULD THEY CANCEL THIS WONDERFUL PROGRAM!!

Disappointed in the USA
Please renew this great TV show. My husband and I so look forward each week. Love the locations
Sad – I enjoyed this show, it was refreshing and different than the other shows
I’m so disappointed to hear Hooten and the Lady has been cancelled. I really enjoy watching the show. It was one of the few shows I really looked forward to watching weekly. Loved the two leads.
I just watched the first season of this show. I had never heard of it before so was obviously not advertised properly. I was very disappointed when I found out it was cancelled
We really enjoyed the series, lots of action and funny. Really sad to read it is not renewed.
I really enjoyed the series..
Wish I could change your minds about NOT renewing..
Just another reason to turn off the TV and pick up a book. Ashame. Outstanding production, wonderful writing, delightful talent. But why should that matter. Maybe the barest effort at promotion and this gem could have picked up a sustainable loyal audience. Another 8 eps. would prove my point. Sadly, when it comes to creativity, the bean counters rule.
Too good of a series to cancel.
