The Hooten & The Lady TV show has been cancelled after one season on The CW in the US and Sky 1 in UK. The Wrap reports CW president Mark Pedowitz said, “We are pleased with the total viewing audience. We wish the 18-49 ratings were better.” Pedowitz also told reporters, “We were informed by the British yesterday that they were not planning to go forward with a season two.” The show is a Sky series, so it seems its fate is sealed.
A British action-adventure series, Hooten & The Lady follows American treasure hunter Ulysses Hooten (Michael Landes) and his British counterpart, Lady Alexandra Lindo-Parker (Ophelia Lovibond). The CW cast also includes Jessica Hynes, Shaun Parkes, Jane Seymour, Jonathan Bailey, and Joanna Scanlan.

This is why we can’t have nice things: any show that’s just fun, and not pushing an agenda, gets yanked. At least the Librarians got a few (but not enough) years. The Middle has aired its series finale. Looks like it’s now nothing but sitcoms full of tired old sex jokes, and soap operas dressed up in sci-fi or adventure drag. This stinks – the Librarians and now I hear about this . I was sure it would come back for 6-10 eps. Adventure history and sci fi have no luck . Hopefully timeless will stick arojnd
One of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time. Why is it that dumb shows go on forever and then you get something good like this and it’s cancelled!? Extremely disappointed.
It’s probably in large part due to the fact that it bucked the current fad of having to have a prominent season-long “story arc”. While there was character development, and some threads that carried past one or two episodes, each episode was enjoyable on its own. The “story arc” approach can be a kind of crutch — an admission that the premise itself isn’t strong enough to stand on its own without the additional soap opera-like structure to keep viewers tuning in.
Very disappointed! This was the only worth while summer show to watch. I love this show!! We had several ladues come and watch. We are so sad this has been cancelled.
To me reading the comments. It sounds like you cancelled a darn good show. Bring it back for one more season and see how it goes. You have more stupid shows on longer. And you cancel good shows. I think you all need to look at who is in charge of doing you renewing and cancelling shows. I mean look how long Simpson’s has been on. All I can say is enough is enough. And Empire. Come on. Do you really want hour kids to watch that crap. When there is so much killing going on now days.
I was gutted that Hooten and the lady was cancelled. We loved the relationship and the mischief they got into.

Our family really enjoyed this show. We can’t stand reality series and love a good mystery mixed with humor. We found it extremely enjoyable and entertaining and looked forward to each new episode. Very disappointing about the cancellation. Thought the actors did a great job on their parts and the opposites will eventually attract part would have been great to see the future of. Could have been an even more awesome show if they would have kept it going- had a ton of potential
Please please bring it back. I have just finished watching the show and loved it and was excited about a second season just to find out there won’t be one how disappointing I hope they change their mind
Great fun show ala Indiana Jones. The actors were great together and it was fun to watch, Hate Reality TV and reruns, so this other option was a breath of fresh air. Too bad it was cancelled
I really enjoy the show. it was almost like watching a weekly show of Indiana Jones I think it should be given a second shot.

I love this show, but I am not 18-49 so I guess my opinion doesn’t count. I am truly disappointed that there’s no season 2.
