Actor Michael Rosenbaum had a long run on the Smallville TV show in a dramatic role. How will his new Impastor comedy series perform in the ratings for TV Land? Will the show be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On Impastor, slacker Buddy Dobbs (Rosenbaum) has a big gambling debt and is about to jump off a bridge to kill himself. A reverend happens by and tries to stop him. When the pastor accidentally falls to his doom, Buddy is left with the unlikely opportunity to steal the man’s identity. The rest of the cast includes Aimee Garcia, Sara Rue, Mircea Monroe, Mike Kosinski, and David Rasche.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
8/31 update: The Jim Gaffigan Show and Impastor have both been renewed for second seasons.
Note: Because TV Land has been simulcasting the show on Nick-at-Nite, we’ve added a chart with those numbers.

I think it’s a great show….. it’s very funny…. very witty a lot of fun …a lot of entertainment and all these so-called Christians that are up in arms is quite a. Joke… yeah…. just look in their backyard and see what crap they do .. and then they sit in church and pretend theiri good christians….yeah….right….joke of the century….. would be very disappointed if they cancel that show…. it’s one of the best that has been on TV in a long time
