Incorporated Cancelled by Syfy; No Season Two
The first season of Incorporated averaged a 0.16 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 493,000 viewers. Out of the 15 Syfy TV shows we’re currently tracking, it ranks in ninth place when we sort the ratings by the 18-49 demo, and 12th in terms of total audience size. Keeping that in mind, the cancellation does not come as much of a surprise.
What do you think? Did you watch the first season of Incorporated? Did you want Syfy to renew this TV show for a second season? Sound off in the comments.
I am right in the middle of their measured demographic, as is my husband, and we LOVED it!! I REALLY hope they change their mind and bring back Incorporated for another season!!! We need to know what happens! …Perhaps the ‘powers that be’ are more afraid that we’ll all see a shockingly realistic portrayal of the shitshow that may come and they don’t want us to change that or be ready for it! o_O
I commented earlier… I actually purchased the whole season on Amazon so I could watch with no commercials… Loved it… But I have to wonder I’m 50 years old… I’m the Star Trek generation… The Battlestar Galactica generation from the 70s and the newer version …. My generation is huge on Syfy… We watch the first Star Wars on the big screen… Is Syfy channel counting us as viewers??… We may be older… But heck, “Gen X” is a lot more loyal by nature then our “youngers” … (Absolutely no insult or disrespect to any of the younger generation(s) …… Read more »

wow they cancelled this and not some of the others!
Honestly this is one of the syfy series I’ve ever seen and I can’t believe it’s not being provided a second season……complete BS!!!!
I thought the show was well done and will be disappointed at its cancellation. I’m not within the age group they track. I will be 69 on March 27th.
The show plot was okay but the world that they created was amazing. Wish there was a second season.
I agree. The story was not as original as the setting, the realness of the world, and the story telling.
It would be cool to give this another shot with a story of other people living in that world who have a more original story.
Great show. I want to watch another season.
Great show. Was looking forward to another season.
I don’t understand why they canceled the show. The ratings are low yes but then this network most of the shows have low ratings. I really enjoyed the show and I’m sorry for her to leave and after cancellation I’m not watching this network anymore. It’s a shame
Too bad. Quirky shows have a limited audience, but I found this little gem to be a bit prophetic about where our country is heading.
Which way? Someone told me that this was an extremely Liberal biased show. Did you feel that way also?
I would not call it liberal. They also properly predicted the migratory patterns of humans if the sea rises. But at its heart it’s more cloak and dagger than anything and accurately depicts a world run by companies. AKA a corporate oligarchy (see Continuum if you want to see it done right?
Continuum was not done right, it was a cheap huge mess. And they allowed that crap to run for too many years. While the top-notch Incorporated gets canceled instead. WHAT A SHAME!
Continuum was hugely disappointing. It had its moments, but comparative speaking, it was a JV effort. That’s also probably why it lasted. The more mindless and the bustier the lead, the longer it lasts.
Why does everything need to come back to politics? It was a science fiction world set in the future. It was a cool what if scenario concept and was a character and relationship driven storyline. Enough with turning everything into a political discussion.
its a shame,it was a good show, not like a lot of the dumbed down crap put out now.guess thats why it was scrapped, too slow and you had to think a bit. dumb always wins over content.
Very true. Mr. Robot, … and any CBS show.
No surprise here. The ratings were AWFUL. The show lost me in a hurry.
Shame, after the first couple of episodes it started to grow on me. However, since he managed to get to the women, I felt it had reached its natural ending. Anything further would have just been dull and mind-numbing..
Obviously there was a much deeper story with the girl and the maid that would be explored next season.
The pacing was too slow and the plot felt decompressed.
