Rob Thomas is “in great spirits right now.” The iZombie executive producer recently spoke with TVInsider about the series’ season three renewal.
iZombie was renewed alongside 10 other CW series last week.
Speaking to TVInsider, Thomas said there was a “very festive mood on set” after news of the renewal broke:
We got the news around 9:30am Pacific Time, and our call time wasn’t until 1:00 in the afternoon. The news was out at 11am, so most of them found out before we got the chance to tell them. From the reports I’ve gotten, it’s a very festive mood on set today.
Our wrap party is tomorrow night, even though we’ve got two more days of shooting. It means our crew has jobs for next year, we have a show. It’s great news to get right at this moment.”
New episodes of iZombie return on March 22nd at 9 p.m. on The CW.

Fantastic – Just Tim Fuller’s Dead like Me, I Zombie is a show that is fresh and entertaining which can give a bit of escape to what the real world is becoming. Kudos

I zombie, 3rd season… um yes please. Exceeded my expectations, witty, clever, and with enough turns and twists to keep me engaged nonstop. Great crime drama with a twist. Love it and so against the norm of conventional tv shows. Gives the sci fi crowd so much to look forward to without being ridiculous. Now that sleepy hollow has needed and Grimm is ending, this sci fi girl is ecstatic !
WOW!! SO Glad its renewed!! Just watched on Netflix to bad season 2 isnt on Netflix yet.. Gonna search somewhere else to watch season 2.. Cant wait for season 3 already haha!

I am so pleased with this news. IZombie is one of my favourite programs on television these days. It is very funny with the kind of innuendo jokes I enjoy. The cast is one of the best ensembles I’ve seen in a long time….glad to hear we get to see more of the brain eaters!! Love it.
I hope it continues for many more seasons…love this show
