Despite positive reviews, the Jane the Virgin TV show continued to draw very low ratings in season two. Will the numbers improve in season three, now that The CW series has a stronger lead-in like Supergirl? Could Jane be cancelled or, is it essentially guaranteed to be renewed so there will be enough episodes for syndication? Stay tuned.
On Jane the Virgin, a driven 23-year-old woman named Jane (Gina Rodriguez) ends up becoming pregnant thanks to being artificially inseminated by mistake. Once she has the baby, things seem to get even more complicated. She’s caught between the attraction for her detective boyfriend, Michael (Brett Dier), and her boss, Rafael (Justin Baldoni), who’s also her baby’s daddy. Now that she’s married one of them, is the drama over? The rest of the cast includes Andrea Navedo, Yael Grobglas, Ivonne Coll, Jaime Camil, and Anthony Mendez (voice over).
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
