Last week, news broke that Kevin James’ King of Queens co-star, Leah Remini, will be a season regular in the second season of his new CBS sitcom, Kevin Can Wait. Now we have learned Erinn Hayes, who played Donna Gable, the wife of James’ character, has been let go.
Reportedly, season two of Kevin Can Wait is going off in a new direction, creatively. Remini, who guest-starred as retired police officer Kevin Gable’s (James) former partner, Vanessa Cellucci, in the season one finale, will return in that role, next season.
Hayes confirmed her reluctant departure from the CBS comedy on social media, tweeting, “True, I’ve been let go from the show. Very sad, I had a great experience season 1. Thank you for all the support from our wonderful fans.”

Well people need to know is show friends on NBC few years to decade ago watch joe actor in man with a plan terrible actor comedy sorry to break to you but Kevin James is quite a comedian when joe from friends different people understand it.
I called this as soon as the news that Leah was back came out. I won’t be watching as I don’t need to see another season of Leah belittling Kevin. Will be interested to see how they disappear the two younger kids (who were slugs) and then the whole Kendra & Chale story line. I assume now he & his “friends” will be hanging out at the bar instead of the house. And exactly will Kevin be Waiting on now?
So wrong! Should have kept the wife. Sends the wrong message that family members are expendable.
I don’t really like this type of comedy. Most of the time it’s NOT funny and so predictable! I didn’t think the chemistry was still there between Leah and Kevin. Man with a Plan is funnier!

I really liked Erinn Hayes on the show and now that I know that Leah Remini is going to be on the show full time I will not be watching it.
The show isn’t very good in the first place, but Hayes was awful in that role. There was zero chemistry between her and Kevin and she was pretty wooden much of the time. Will be interesting to see what direction they are taking the show and how Hayes is written out. I hope it gets better because I only watch it now since I don’t care for what else is on during this time slot Monday nights.
I thought his wife on the show was delightful. She should have been given a second season. Is Leah the reason she was dropped? Perhaps sharing the show with Kevin James meant that his tv wife (Donna) would steal some of her thunder? I probably will not watch the 2nd season.
I can’t believe you just dumped Erinn. I wasn’t crazy about her at first But now I like her. I have a feeling this is about Money. But I’m truly sad she is gone. Sorry Erinn
Every time I watched Kevin Can Wait I saw Doug Heffernan anyway, just with a different family. CBS really should have just brought back an updated version of King of Queens.
it would of have to been Kevin James, Sony, and CBS decision to bring King of Queens back besides CBS likes how the show is now so if you like hating on this show go watch King of Queens reruns and be glad
Lol this will not fix all the problems. Only a bandage to hold a typhoon of a storm. Really cbs,, this show needs more then a role replacement. KOQ replay will not bring people. Believe people are that simple brained? The show needs a better actor not a replace actress!
King of Queens has been done, doesn’t need a “revival” under a different name. It was good the way it was…now, I don’t know if I really want to watch.

I never watched any of his TV shows. Thin his movies are worth some laughs, but never got into the premises of the TV shows. Sorry they dumped her, maybe the ratings from when they were on the previous show were better so that is why?
Well it looks like they have let me go as watcher too because I have no interest on watching the shoe after there change in direction.
