Lost was a hit show for ABC but very few other mystery serials have been a success in the ratings and most have been cancelled after just one season. How will La Brea fare for NBC? Will it be cancelled or buck the trend and be renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status Update Below.
A disaster drama, the La Brea TV show stars Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken, Jon Seda, Nicholas Gonzalez, Chiké Okonkwo, Karina Logue, Zyra Gorecki, Jack Martin, Veronica St. Clair, Rohan Mirchandaney, Lily Santiago, Josh McKenzie, and Chloe De Los Santos. The story begins as a massive sinkhole opens up in the middle of Los Angeles, swallowing cars and buildings and separating the Harris family between two worlds. Mom Eve (Zea), teenage son Josh (Martin), and others fall into an unexplainable primeval land. On the surface, searching for answers, there’s teen daughter Izzy (Gorecki) and Gavin (Macken), her father who has a troubled past. When Gavin realizes his visions might just be the key to finding their loved ones, time will be the only thing that stands in their way.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
12/1 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the final national ratings, including all live+same day viewing and DVR playback (through 3:00 AM). Early fast affiliate ratings (estimates) are indicated with an “*”. While these numbers don’t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel. There can be other economic factors involved in a show’s fate, but typically the higher-rated series are renewed and the lower-rated ones are cancelled.
What do you think? Do you like the La Brea TV series on NBC? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
*11/14/21 update: La Brea has been renewed for a second season on NBC.
Love it.
There are so many things wrong with this show that I don’t even know where to begin. One thing is for sure, NBC didn’t go to MENSA for their story line and screenplay. This show is like a really dumbed down version of Lost (which wasn’t exactly cerebral itself). Shows this bad don’t deserve second seasons.
Agree, but it’s worth watching for the comedic effect.
Love this show so much
Always has something new going on every week. Hopefully it will be renewed for Season 2
Worst show
ratings dip for 11/02 was likely due to the world series playoff.
Good episode
Here’s the proof
FOX (s) World Series Game 6 2.7 11.76 million viewers
I do enjoy the show. Matter of fact I can’t wait till the next weeks show. Please keep it.
I really like this show also
I really enjoy this show…..please keep it!
I started to watch the first episode and frankly couldn’t finish. The story line, the acting and the funky wild animals were poorly done and an insult to my intelligence. they could have done so much better.
This show is my new guilty pleasure — it’s so stupid and bad that’s it’s actually entertaining!
I’m fully expecting the final rescue attempt to be them building a two-mile long rope ladder and throwing it into the sinkhole (forgetting, of course, to tie off one end).
We LOVE this show. Bring it back
Okay, two minutes into the second episode, I’m screaming at my TV because the characters on this show are being so incredibly dumb.
The plot devices, the dialogue, the acting, the FX are all so dreadful, this show can’t last more than a few more eps. I certainly won’t be watching.
Dumb!
A mix between Lost & Terra Nova.
A mix of the good & the bad.
At the end, preview of next episodes tells that even NBC is not sure of the show…
Le Brea looks like they just reworked part of The Lost script for the people in “the past”
Is this going to be just another sci-fi series that NBC will suck us in with and then leave us hanging?
I want the showrunner(s) to put it in writing that if this show is cancelled, they’ll put together a wrap-up movie.
I’m sick of being played.
