Tim Allen and company have had a successful Friday night run with Last Man Standing on ABC. The sitcom has more than enough episodes for syndication so, how long will it continue? Will it be cancelled this time around, or will it be renewed for a seventh season? Stay tuned.
On Last Man Standing, Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) is the marketing director of the Outdoor Man sporting goods stores. He has a wife and three daughters so it can be a little tough to stand his ground and stay in touch with his inner man. The rest of the cast includes Nancy Travis, Amanda Fuller, Molly Ephraim, Kaitlyn Dever, Christoph Sanders, Hector Elizondo, Flynn Morrison, Jordan Masterson, and Jonathan Adams.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Last year comparison: The fifth season of Last Man Standing averaged a 1.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.74 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Last Man Standing TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a seventh season?
5/10 update: ABC has cancelled Last Man Standing after six seasons.
Are you kidding me, one of the few decent family shows left on T.V.. What is wrong with these people? Guess g00d taste is out these days. Show was funny and good humor, clean is out I guess.
Are you kidding me, one of the few family shows left on T.V. and then end it. What is wrong with these people? I guess there was not enough sex, violance or cursing for the show to have enough backing.
I’m a liberal and I love this show!!!
I love kast nan standing i watch it everyday. On the cmt channel and on fridays i watched the new ones please bring it back this show is awesone we git oyr friends watching it now
I believe canceling this show will really hurt abc it was one of thier best, most of their shows suck!!
Actually, I found this show to be fairly boring and the characters are very stereotypical, like many ABC shows. I’ve watched a number of episodes; Tim Allen’s character was not likeable or believable, and I’m not surprised that ABC decided to pull the plug. Whether he was portrayed as liberal or a conservative doesn’t matter, it was supposed to be a comedy and it just wasn’t funny anymore. Sorry Tim, I loved you as The Toolman but this show was beneath your talent.
I can NOT understand why a GREAT program like Last Man Standing, which got high ratings, would get cancelled. PLEASE reconsider your decision!!!!
NO! The show should not be cancelled. It is a great light hearted comedy. The right touch of family problems and troubles and solutions.
I think it is a well balanced show one if not the only show I watch in this liberal infested nation.
Last Man Standing is so funny and it’s a show you can watch with your children without worrying about “what’s coming next”? There is so much garbage and crap on television these days it’s a shame if this show is cancelled!
Of course it should not be cancelled. Its a great show and it is very popular.
It should be renewed of course. Its a great show and has very high ratings.
I vote to keep the show going, it’s the best thing on TV.
BEST SHOW ON TV Look forward to watching it
leave on the air, after all what else are we going to watch so call Obama or Hillary so called perfect offices.
