The Live PD franchise is gone for good. According to NextTV, Sony Pictures Television has cancelled the A&E TV show’s syndicated spin-off series Live PD Police Patrol.
The weekly series focused on the daily work of police forces throughout the United States. “Every episode highlights the daily life-and-death situations faced by Sheriff’s Departments, Highway Patrols and local Police Departments in a diverse range of jurisdictions from Connecticut to Arizona, ” via the show’s website.
Sony Pictures Television cancelled Live PD Police Patrol after A&E ended Live PD in the wake of international protests against police brutality. Live PD Police Patrol is being pulled off the air this week.
What do you think? Do you watch Live PD Police Patrol? Do you think Sony made the right call?
I think everyone needs to see what the police put up with and how most of them have the patience of a saint…some of the people they deal with need their a** kicked, I don’t care what color they are!!!
They need have live pd stay on
Please bring them back. I’ve saw almost All the shows it’s always been my “go to”. Please bring it back
Alot of us still stand with Law Enforcement..
Now Sony is on my do not patronize list, all sony products……..will never buy again.
It’s not the cops, it’s the network. They caved to the media mob. These great men and woman are out there everyday keeping order. Yes, that was a horrible thing that happened, but to pull Live PD off is awful.
This pis me of I love that show how many police got killed when on duty just because we have one rotting Apple don’t mean the whole tree is bad
Live PD actually had some of the most awesome officers! We absolutely loved watching them. It shows how people don’t know the LAWS anymore. Or they just DON’T CARE. It’s a shame that the law of obeying a police officer, when an officer is being a law abiding police officer, has not been taught to people. If an officer tells you to put your arms up… PUT THEM UP!! If he tells you to remain silent REMAIN SILENT!! Until they get the situation under control. This show showed us the absolute disrespectful non law abiding people that our officers deal… Read more »
I am very upset. Was my favorite show.
This is absolutely ridiculous! So because of a few idiots who go rogue LivePd can’t show all the good actions of the AMAZING police out there. What a stupid decision.
They can air all the sex and killing of today but they can’t air the good that the men and women that put on the badge to do what they were sworn to do. A&E makes me sick and Sony does to I will not be watching these channel again u less the put the Live PD back on. We as a nation need to boycott Sony and A&E!!
No. They should not have canceled this show. Live PD was an informative and entertaining show. The officers who were followed were gracious and professional. The show revealed the light hearted side of police work and showed the human touch on several occasions. If we aren’t going to let a few bad apples ruin the barrel then don’t take this show off the air. There are so many more movies and TV shows that portray African Americans as thugs and criminals. Take them off the air and leave Live PD alone.
This makes me so angry. Very much enjoyed the work and interactions happening live. We could see what our police do day in and day out. And how about the dangers they face? Also enjoyed their regular interactions with people. Dancing with the kids, helping change tires or pushing cars. God forbid we should see something real! Shame on all of you!
One rotten apple doesn’t make the other apples bad. The police of today shows the good that they are doing to HELP the citizens they do. I appreciate each one of the men and women that put that badge on everday to try to PROTECT AND SERVE this great Country
First Cops, now live PD, what’s next? This is reality tv, it really happens, people need to realize this country is falling apart at the seams, I have watched Cops, rescue 911, Live pd, now live PD rescue, PD CAM, Sheriff and any other exciting reality tv.
Taking these off the air is wrong, this stuff still happens, and I think we all need a good dose of reality!
Watching the show from a citizens prospective I think it shows how the real world reacts when approached by the law.
Comply. If you are in the wrong, don’t run. If you are not in the wrong, if you comply, they politely allow you to be on your way.
