TV show description:
From creator Patrick Walsh, the Living Biblically TV show is inspired by the AJ Jacobs book, The Year of Living Biblically. The sitcom centers on Chip Curry (Ferguson), a film critic for an NYC newspaper. After the death of his best friend, Chip decides to live a better life, through strict adherence to biblical precepts.
Chip has always had obsessive tendencies. Luckily his pregnant wife, Leslie (Kraft) is a smart cookie. Although she’s highly skeptical, she finds Chip’s newest passion amusing and gives him her full support.
Realizing he’ll need some guidance along his new path, Chip enlists the help of a Catholic priest, Father Gene (Gomez), and the Father’s best friend, Rabbi Gil Abelman (Krumholtz). As his “God Squad,” they listen to him, offer advice, and generally help Chip render a contemporary course of action from the Bible’s ancient instructions.
At the paper, Chip’s boss, Ms. Meadows (Manheim), is surprisingly supportive of his new project — largely because she knows the story he ultimately writes about it will sell. Similarly, his co-worker and friend, Vince (Rock) is happy to give him a reality check when necessary. Like Leslie, Vince finds the entire enterprise entertaining.
As Chip sets out on his earnest, spiritual journey, he is grateful for the support of his near and dear. Still, he can’t help but wonder if the results will be of “Biblical proportions.”

What do you think? Do you like the Living Biblically TV series? Should this CBS TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
lOVE LOVE LOVE THE SHOW. SHOULD BE RENEWED,
I really liked the show. It was clean it was funny. My husband is Jewish and I am Christian and we both enjoyed. It was witty and funny. You brought back last man standing because it was a family show.. Please start realizing that we want more shows with morals
I do not think this TV show should be aired because it does not reflect the Bible and real Christianity. I will be surprised if my comments are accepted, as the most comments here are reflecting those who seem happy with this disgraceful show. Can you be fair and leave both comments, CBS?
LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS SHOW. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!
I loved this show, please do not take it off the air.
Wow one of the only funny shows we’ve found….Bring back JOY
I love this show! It really helps apply biblical thinking to modern society in a cleaver, funny way. I wish they would keep it. The characters are varied and were getting to be well developed. They were becoming my “friends” .
Please bring the show back.
My husband and I both love the show! It should not be cancelled.
I really loved the show, it was so quirky and funny. I don’t know how shows are determine if they remain on or not, but seeing the average audience always listed at 18 to 49 is ridiculous. There is a lot of us over 50 out here and doesn’t seem as though we ever have a voice. This was a very good show and I’m very disappointed in it being canceled.
I like it. To me the show is funny and ranges between thoughtful and insightful. I’m glad that it was aired and hope for another season.
This is a great show. It’s funny, relevant and entertaining and it has an excellent cast of supporting actors. I’m surprised CBS didn’t give it chance. I’m happy to see new episodes aired this summer.
Living Biblically is a great show, it deals with the everyday struggles of keeping the faith, and very much relates to the situations faced by many in todays world questioning their own faith in God and the Church. Why take something off that people enjoy, it is because this show is wholesome and doesn’t contain any violence??? Certainly there is reason for a show like this when one looks at the world of today with all the violence in programs on other venues or even in the movies or other means. Take the violence off the television, that is promoting… Read more »
Living Biblically was soooo funny!!!! Sad to see it go!!!
Just found this show and Me, Myself and I… why do all the good shows with morals and decent language get cancelled… sad sad sad.
I agree with you as all the good shows get cancelled way too early for them to even develop, instead they would rather people have a steady diet on the TV of violence, and I for one don’t care for that whether it be programs or movies.
