A&E has cancelled Longmire after three seasons. The cable channel issued a statement that said, “We would like to thank the phenomenal cast, crew and producers of Longmire, along with our partners at Warner Horizon, for their tireless work on three seasons of quality dramatic storytelling.”
Word is that Warner Horizon plans to shop the series to other outlets so a fourth season may still happen.
Longmire follows the life of a Wyoming county sheriff who’s returned to work following his wife’s demise. With the support of his family and co-workers, he solves cases and works to stay in office. The cast includes Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff, Bailey Chase, Adam Bartley, Cassidy Freeman, and Lou Diamond Phillips.
What do you think? Do you like Longmire? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season instead?
Longmire is one of the more entertaining shows in an otherwise dismal TV landscape. Urban cop dramas thrive while rural settings wither and die. Our society things drama and life only exist in cities and is offended when attempts are made to draw it out of the city. I’m hoping A&E sees a western sunset soon.
Just can’t believe this. Longmire is an excellent series, love the show and the characters. I have all the books. Shame on you A & E!!!!!
Horrible decision by A&E. Longmire was my favorite show. Great cast and awesome storyline. I hope someone will pick it up…Netflix???
Longmire is one of the better quality shows on TV. Which is why A&E is canceling it. They prefer trash TV.
I am so surprised that A&E would cancel this show. It is enjoyed by so many. After scrolling through the comments it is obvious there is a great following. I hope some other channel picks it up. It would be a shame to lose one of the best dramas on TV.
Please consider and explore the act of picking up the “Longmire” show. I enjoyed it very, very much, as it was action filled and Longmire has a brilliant mind when it comes to solving crime. The shows are directed in such a way that their time passes very swiftly! Thanks
Please DO NOT cancel Longmire …. I always look forward to watching it with my family! It is one of the better TV shows on! Thanks!
What a poor decision. The best show on the channel. Arts & Entertainment has been. Stretch with the garbage you often have on your channel. You finally get a quality show for the first time in years and then cancel it? What are you thinking. There’s nothing redeemable left to watch on A&E. We can all pretty much figure where your heads are. Hopefully another channel with good taste and common sense will pick it up and prove you wrong
I absolutely adore Longmire! This is one
Of the best shows on TV.
There are so many reality shows like
storage wars. We all know they plant
items in the lockers. We’ve seen enough
of Dave Hester! Longmire is a well written,
Acted show please bring it back!
Enough of the reality shows!
DON’T CANCEL LONGMIRE! A&E doesn’t have that many good shows, especially not cultural shows that they can afford to cancel them.
Big mistake!!!!!!!!!-The big bosses think of themselves, not if the viewers like the show.
You cancelled Glades without a finally, now you are doing Longmire.
Well, A&E strikes again. They cancel a good show in favor of idiotic reality tv. I will definitely be writing them. Longmire is the only reason I watch A&E! Hope another, more intelligent channel picks it up.
This is my favorite show. I even pay to watch it on Amazon.
What a mistake that is…. canceling a great show like Longmire! That’s the 2nd time A&E has disappointed me. The first time was when they canceled “The Glades”. There will be no more A&E watching in our house!!
Spent a whole day with Robert and Katee shooting last month – great actors who were super dedicated to the show – we had a ball. Taylor said, “Man, I LOVE to come to work every day!” I had heard lower viewership than what is being quoted on the various websites and of course no nominations for awards in three years. Looks like A&E made a business decision or they have another racehorse in the stable to trot out. You never know what these show producers have on their mind. The axe can fall at any time if the $$$… Read more »
