TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?

One of my favorite shows. Too bad it has been cancelled. I can think of dozens that should have preceded the cancellation of this great show.
I love this series as well. Working my way through series four on the way to series six. I agree that the show should continue. The characters and storylines are great. With most of the shows on TV or cable almost insulting in their mediocrity this is a series that stands almost on its own. Stay with it. In this world today we need all the integrity and character we can get. Even if its from a TV show. There is not much integrity in the real world anymore.
great show bring it back
Longmire is one of the best shows on in a while something different then hospital and lawer shows real good cast and actors I’m not sure why they have to fight to stay on the air
I love Longmire. It’s a great show. Always interesting. Great characters and stories. Scener looks spectacular too
this show was one of the best – a well cast show. please bring them back am ready for more…didn’t watch much else, but surley did love this one…
Certainly one of the best TV series period. And no commercials.
Everyone one I know loves this show. I don’t understand what’s wrong with Netflix. Have started Amazon Prime. And guess what? They have a some good stuff too. Open your ears Netflix. You’ve just turned greedy like the rest.
what happened to the relationship between Walt and Dr. Monaghan? Did I miss something? Loved the ending, except for him being with “Vic.” That did not fit for me. Great Series!!! They don’t make men like Walt Longmire anymore!!
Should not have cancelled Longmire. Just watched from beginning to end of season 5 everyday. Looked so forward to watching it every spare minute I had. Not many decent shows to watch. Love this show and am saddened and disappointed it has been cancelled.
renewed
This is one of the best shows on tv. How come the really good shows always get canceled?
They really fouled up when they cancelled this series. It was a breath of fresh air after all the trash that is out there.
I just got my wife hooked on the show and you cancel it. she may have been the deciding viewer.
Longmire is about the best series on TV. There is not all the cursing and sex that is on the other shows.there is a good storyline on each show. My interest is peaked all the time. There are so many ways the writers and producers and directors can take this show. I really hope there is enough comments from fans to change our minds about cancelling the show.
At the end of each show, watch for who the producer(s), director(s) and production companies are. The key to keeping this show going is to be writing these people. They hold the keys to keep production going and getting another company to pick up the show.
