TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?

renewed, definitely. I’m dealing with a sense of grief that it’s over
Please keep on Longmire. It is one of the best shows on TV. I have a netflix account and have been watching all the episodes and i’m about to start season 5. The characters are rich and believable. And the story lines are thrillerestley good ( i think i just made up a new word lol) I wouldn’t change a thing. Netflix has raised the prices and as a paying customer I should have a say in what stays and in my opinion Longmire should stay.
Good Show! Please renew!
great show, probably the only show that demonstrates how foolish our laws are regarding law enforcement on reservations. This is one show I would watch for the next ten years, too bad it’s being dropped.
love the show and I want more, more, more, of the Longmire series.
Sad to see it go. I only signed up for Netflix to watch it.
Love the show. So sorry to see it end
I only purchased Netflix to continue to watch Longmire ! Why take a great show off? I was not happy when A&E cancelled Longmire ! Very unhappy.. I hope they make movies. ..
So sad to see it end. There is a distinct lack of quality and integrity in TV / Cable/ streaming these days. As others have written the actors and story lines resonate with the real world. Pity programs like this have to compete with the formula crap that seem to win the ratings. Thanks for the journey Walt and Vic. Icons for flawed heroes everywhere.
Big mistake cancelling the show. Once we found out about it, its been the #1 show we watch. Never boring, new story lines but with a solid grounding. Cast works well together and there are many more episodes that could be shot. Even our 18 year old liked watching.
Longmire is one of the best series on the air. I wish stations would give viewers a chance before canceling series and then asking if the right decision is made. I love this show.
Should kept going..great tv show w old fashioned values combined with deep cultural Native American legacy and definitely a wonderful who dunnit!!
Please renew for a 7th season, and eighth, and ninth, etc. My favorite show on tv.
Love the show! Would like it to go on. Having been out west many times and in love with Wyoming in particular, the show is well done and gives a nice picture of what the rural West is like.
I love Longmire. I like how good old fashioned police work solves the crime. I was sorry that it ended. But I thought the ending was well done
